Hard to find dishes, delicacies of the chilean cuisine are possible here, in an almost hidden place in downtown Santiago, your experience starts with the search for the address and finding the place, an old house, tipical of the old neighborhoods of Santiago, where you can taste traditional Chilean recipies hard to find anywhere else, rabbit, quail, pheasant, oxtail, and... I'm in Chile once, twice a year for business and the culinary highlight of my trip is a visit to this historical place to taste some of the best Chilean cuisine. Always a treat !

This place is tucked away in a corner of the street. Ana Maria Restaurant is one of those places that are quite an experience on the palate. They offer the typical Chilean cuisine consisting of some exotic Frogs, Snails, Mollusk called Abalone, and Sea Urchins delicacies. If you like places with a touch of rustic and national food, you cannot... More

Tucked away in a residential suburb is this excellent restaurant that from the outside looks like a Spanish tavern. You have to ring the bell as if you’re entering someone’s home, but inside it’s spacious bright and the waiters are excellent. The restaurant is well known for unusual meats (and fish). Dishes like wild boar, pheasant, rabbit, pulled pork, etc.... More

The staff are very friendly, the food was fresh and flavorful. Vegetarian options are limited, but available. The lamb shank was delicious, and the ceviche was terrific! Location is good, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Recommended.

This restaurant is a very special place in a historical building in Santiago. From outside it is not easy to find. You need to know what is inside and where it is. Once you entered this restaurant, you can feel the tradition inside the walls. Traditional decoration, but no exageration at all. Very tipical and well prepared chilean and international... More

Our friend with family in Santiago recommended dinner at Ana Maria. From the moment we entered the establishment, we knew the recommendation was a winner. While our Spanish was a bit limited and the place is very local, we communicated well with the entire staff. And, when they gave us an English language menu, the extensive options came to life.... The food is excellent and very well presented. Service is excellent. Definitely top of the line but that comes with a higher price. We were part of a large family gathering so were served in a separate room without the ambiance of the main dining room.
