For all fellow Americans, If you are around Santiago de Chile and miss some home food, come to Mamut Mall Plaza Egaña and enjoy some tasty burgers or ribs. I have my regular, Cheeseburger, but, without onions and pickles. Today, Saturday, at lunch time it was full, and the service kept it's standard, fast, good food quality, congratulations. I have... It has a nice ambiance and is in the middle of the shopping district. The service was a little slow though friendly for the amount of people there. Though the food was not bad even if it could have been better for the price. I know much better places a little way down the road.

The waiter was great.. all the rest, bad... Oh its bad... I had a cheeseburger, you know expecting a cheesburger.. i could not believe the burger patty was not home made, it was that kind you buy frozen in the supermarket, you can tell because the texture is repugnant, chewy and dull tasting... It took 25 minutes for them to... More

Try the hamburguer with palta (avocato), a local specialty, quite nice. The Escudo beer is quite nice too. The place is nice and the waiters very solicit. Price is very affordable too. I highly recomend for a not fancy, burguer like meal

I hate to eat Gringo food in Chile but if you have to, this place stacks up well against Red Robin but the Nachos are repulsive.

A highlight of our trip to Chile, was being greeted by such a warm and caring waiter, Christopher on our arrival to Mamut in the Maipo Shopping Mall. Our Spanish is non existent and he was extremely friendly and helped us to order (including a great local beer called Calafate and happy hour drinks of mojitos – two for the... More

I ordered a meat and I didn't like, the service was not good too. Perhaps for a drink or fast cheap food, this restaurant serves better.

After waiting almost 10min to place a drink order we were ready to walk out...we should have! The food was ordinary, they burnt the steak & when they bought one back the potato was so hot it blistered my mouth (obviously been microwaved)! Stay away from Mamut!

There are several Mamut restaurants scattered across Santiago, but I only know the one on Hernando de Aguirre. It is an excellent Tex - Mex style place, with professional and attentive staff, clean interior, good card, very good meals. Prices very reasonnable. Highly recommended.
