The service was exceptional and our waiter (new to Violet Oon) had a great knowledge of the food, history and origins of the restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious (congratulations to the chef) and the decor/atmosphere was great. The only improvement is the leather chairs...we sat on in the booth were cracked...maybe time for new upholstery...but otherwise simply an amazing experience. Thank you.More

Its our 1st time to this restaurant and we loved the high tea. Every item was delicious especially the kueh pie tee. For $58++ for 2 pax, its really value for money. Good small bites & ideal for food sampling ! After this high tea,...we are coming back for dinner and try their ala carte menuMore

I visited National Gallery Violet Oon for High Tea with my friends for a birthday celebration. It was a very enjoyable experience as the restaurant was beautiful, staff were friendly and food was great too! High tea set was yummy and affordable. Appreciated the complimentary...birthday cake when 1 of the staff realised that it was a birthday celebration, and despite the fact that they were closing to prepare for dinner. Will be back!More

First visit, ordered the sambal bajak barramundi plus rice. Good, not that spicy, many people should be able to enjoy this dish. Friendly service staff. Service: 5/5.

Tasty peranakan dishes accompanied by exceptional service and great ambience. It was my partner's birthday and we really enjoyed the evening. Thank you for the cake and the photo!

We went there casually with friends to have lunch and we were so pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere of this place is unique and their food is so delicious! Highly recommend it, and special kudos to Krishnan our waiter there who was so dedicated and only...concerned about making it a true Singaporean experience for us. Thank you Violet Oon!More

The food was excellent. The taste is so authentic and it really reminds me of traditional Peranakan heritage but with finesse. However, their service can be improve. Product knowledge of the service staff was limited, doesn't know their wines well and wants to insist on...being right. Food was served but however in a undesirable manner. Service staff requires more professional training as serving customers without proper service language can be badly interpreted as rude. Body language and attitude of theirs show that they are unable to handle a fully reserved night. Open up a bottle of wine and throw the cap into the ice bucket simply doesn't show any finesse in service. Wines and water not refilled promptly. All these are flaws which can be more refine. I am not saying that I am right about them, but just sharing from my experience. Thank you.More

Nice restaurant with a beautiful decoration that makes a lovely atmosphere. The menu includes local dishes with good quality of the products. The service is quite good.

Restaurant was kind enough to offer a complimentary cake slice for our birthday guest, and also allowed us to bring in our own birthday cake with service assistance at no extra charge. Unfortunately, the dishes we ordered were a little underwhelming (taste and portions-wise).
