We were lucky to get a table after another guest cancelled, so no harm to be waitlisted and hope for the best. I won't go into detail as to what we ate, however each dish was executed confidently. We enjoyed the flavours, the complementing features and how beautiful they were each plated (thoughtful plates and utensils included!). The interior is calming, we felt like staying on the whole afternoon. Service was a bit patchy, not because they were not earnest, but not knowledgeable as certain dishes were declared wrongly upon serving (Are we having pheasant or duck? Are those hazelnuts or walnuts?). Restaurants of this calibre should not have staff who do not know what is being served on the plate. A great dining experience and we would be back.

Windwhirl visit in Singapore. Odette is a place not to be missed. Located in the beautiful national gallery, a piece of art by Chef Julien Royer and his team. Seamless service and great attention to details. Everyone in the restaurant from chefs to severe and sommelier are all so passionate about their work and they made you feel special and welcome. Absolutely amazing menu and each and every plate is a piece of art. Odette excels in every way. Looking forward to be back already!

Chef Julien, I blame you and your impeccable team for spoiling me and raising my dining standards to an unreasonably high one. Full disclosure, my memory is slightly impaired because the wine pairing was so phenomenal I had to empty every glass while making sure I properly ration every bite to accompany every sip. The thoughtfulness of their staff is more meticulous than anyone who has gotten me a gift. They even reminded us to pace ourselves and take bathroom breaks to make more space for more goodies. And as you can probably tell, they have a delightful sense of humour as well that left us very entertained (and wiser from their knowledge they were so passionately sharing). What I do remember clearly is feeling wonderfully surprised by all the flavours in every single dish. The complexity and layers of flavour that simply does not stop bursting in your mouth with every chew. Pretty sure their desserts are exactly what rainbows taste like. If I really do have to knitpick, their bread and accompanying olive oil has room for improvement. But their slightly lacking bread also meant I managed to not stuff my face with carbs, leaving more room to savour the fine edible art served elegantly on unique plates. 9.9/10 recommend instead of the perfect ten because I am officially an embarassing and hopeless fan girl of Chef Julien and his team at Odette. P.s. I wish I had better documentation of the courses but I didn’t have enough discipline to resist the food.

Due to Covid-19, dining in at restaurants is currently not allowed. We decided to try the "Odette at Home" delivery option for our wedding anniversary dinner. Disappointingly, the dinner was never delivered, despite the order being made hours before the delivery time slot. The order was supposed to be delivered between 7.30-8pm. By 8.15pm, when the dinner was still not delivered, I tried calling the restaurant's phone number multiple times, but it was turned off. By 9pm, we were resigned that having a nice French dinner for our wedding anniversary was not going to happen. In the end, we had to get fast food for dinner. I just hope that the restaurant will refund me the pricey dinner which I had paid for via my credit card. I doubt that I will try 'Odette at Home' ever again.

Okay this is my first 3 Michelin Star restaurant so I do not have parallels to draw against, but the entire experience (even after the meal) was more than what I expected for a 3 star restaurant. Needless to say, chef Julien and his kitchen crew executed the dishes flawlessly. Rather than going for flavor bombs after flavor bombs (which is nothing wrong in itself as I enjoy that too), the flavor profile they have gone for was more delicate, with just a couple of dishes that really felt intense for some variety to the palate. Thought this really helped bring out the most in the ingredients used. Also always admire a menu which doesn’t use beef but still manages to impress thoroughly (nothing against beef; I love it, but just thought beef was kinda a “shortcut” to upgrade a meal experience). The service and “after care” was something I thought really cemented their 3 stars accolade. Service staff throughout the meal were kind, professional and well trained as expected with smiles all around. Felt like they really love doing what they do. However it was the post-meal service that was a memory to keep for a long while. I had unfortunately misplaced the menu they gave us at the end of the meal as keepsake and was actually very upset with myself. And then it was head waiter Geoffrey to the rescue. He had kindly given us his name card and personal contact after the meal and after using it to contact him, he readily agreed to prepare a new one for me. Sure it may not be difficult to simply print and assemble a new one, but he was in no way obliged to help amend a mistake that I made and yet he still did. He redefined what “going the extra mile” meant to me. So once again thank you so much for the awesome meal and super service! PS: the homemade jam they gave out before leaving the restaurant was so good.

Housed in the National Gallery of Singapore, this Michelin Star restaurant has a long waiting list but it is totally worth the effort, even for a more private table that is not in main dining hall. Their exquisite food is delightful and so is the excellent service that makes one feel like a star if you are celebrating a special occasion. Vegetarian option is also available for their dinner set.

Date of visit: 24 July 2023 (Dinner) My partner and I had high hopes when my partner made a reservation at Odette for my birthday occasion. Unfortunately, our dining experience fell short of expectations, leaving us feeling underwhelmed and disappointed. We found the dishes to be mediocre and lacking the soul and passion that one would expect from a fine dining establishment. Each plate lacked a memorable journey and narrative, failing to evoke emotions or excitement with every bite. To start, we were served cold, hard sourdough loaves of bread and truffle brioche. The bread should have been warm and inviting, but instead, it felt like an afterthought. This set the tone for the rest of the meal, where we encountered further disappointments. The kinki fish dish, in particular, was served with bones still present, making it unpleasant to eat. Such an oversight is unacceptable for a restaurant of Odette's calibre. Moving on to the desserts, they were equally forgettable. The caneles in the petit four were a letdown, as they were inconsistent with my partner's; mine were hard to chew and far from the pillowy texture, they should have had. In contrast, their cheese platter was the highlight of our meal and we enjoyed that the most. Adding to the disappointment was the lacklustre acknowledgement of my birthday. While my partner had indicated the special occasion during the reservation, all we received was a "happy birthday" message written on the dessert dish that was already a part of the regular menu. It felt impersonal and insincere, and this sentiment was amplified when we noticed another couple beside us, celebrating a birthday being presented with a birthday cake by the restaurant. The contrast left us feeling overlooked and unappreciated. Beyond the food and service, the overall atmosphere lacked warmth and friendliness, failing to create a welcoming ambience that could have elevated the dining experience. Furthermore, what makes matters worse is the lack of any service recovery effort from the restaurant. Despite our disappointment, Odette hasn't reached out to us to address our concerns or offer any form of apology. In conclusion, our experience at Odette was marred by mediocre and lacklustre food and a general lack of attention to detail. For a restaurant with such a prestigious reputation (the best restaurant in Asia and holds 3 Michelin stars), we expected much more. We hope that Odette takes this feedback constructively and works to improve its offerings and service in the future. Until then, we cannot recommend Odette as a dining destination for anyone seeking a truly exceptional experience and a celebratory occasion.

Despite lockdown, Odette and their rock star crew continue to bring their A game to the comfort of our homes. I have a ordered from them a few times during CB and I’m always left impressed and satisfied with the quality and creativity of their food. They are constantly changing up their menu every week and I look forward to the day they open their doors again.

Was seated near the kitchen where one can see the preparation of the food items. Service was excellent and meticulous. Seeing that I use the cutlery on the left, they quickly change the placement of the items for my convenient. The restaurant manager come by for a small talk which was great for the calibre of this restaurant. Food was both delicious and pleasing to the eyes. One could not fault the dish at all. A complimentary dessert was also present for the birthday boy! Ambience was great too! You definitely can feel the class where the design has a meaning as well which the service stafc explained to us. Would definitely want to dine again but the pricetag is something to think about.

From the Amuse Bouche right down to the coffee, every course was impeccable! I especially love their sea urchin which was so sweet and creamy! I also had my dream fulfilled with the OITA Egg dish where I had a bowl full of black truffles! The crispy skin on the Red Mullet and that piece of tender squid accompanying it were unforgettable! And lastly, the foie gras in the Bouillon Paysan was exquisite! I only tried seared foie gras but at Odette, it’s cooked using the temperature of the broth so you can taste its creaminess and smoothness 😍!! So different and so memorable! I would say to every reader to at least pamper yourself once to a meal at Odette. You certainly will not have any regrets! One piece of advice though. If you are a small eater, 4 courses in my opinion will be enough. I chose 6 courses and it was waaaaayyy too much that I even skipped dinner! 4 courses : $188 6 courses : $248

This was the final three Michelin star restaurant we had to tick off in Singapore, and we’d say it’s more of Les Amis’ ilk than Zen’s. For us Zen is what we’re looking for, more contemporary. But Odette is more “classic” Michelin. So will depend on your tastes! Gripe first: even though, as with all three star restaurants, you often have to book months in advance for a reservation, Odette actually take a substantial deposit from your account. The money leaves your account. And it is non-refundable, even if you cancelled a minute later for a reservation in two months time. I have zero issue with holds being put on x amount and you needing to cancel a reservation with some notice, but this is militant. All sorts can change and it’s simply wrong to operate in this was. I’d have happily given them a 4/5, same as Les Amis, if not for this. I think we were also a little more disappointed here than at Les Amis because Odette is in the Top 50 restaurant list, which often bucks the Michelin trend and rewards contemporary places. This definitely more “French” aka stuffy and formal. Not necessarily bad, just not what we’re looking for first and foremost. All that said: great dinner! Really enjoyed it. We’d been to Zen the night before so it had a lot to live up to and it was not far off and, I think it’s worth stressing, mostly on subjective things. I can imagine some hating the music at Zen and loving it here. Service very professional and quite fun. I enjoyed asking the French sommelier for cheddar, red Leicester, and Stilton, when he just had Roquefort and some other rubbish from France. Food was very, very tasty. More drama than Zen, with smoke and table preparation, and that sort of thing. Doing dry January though and their non-alcoholic drinks very, very poor. We don’t necessarily mark them down for this, as it’s not uncommon, but in this day and age I think you really do need to offer more than a couple of sodas and a handful of non-alcoholic wines (urgh). We loved the decor, space, and view of the kitchen. Great location within the art gallery/museum. Finally, and sorry to keep comparing to Zen (that I’m clearly obsessed with), it was a lot cheaper than the dinner the night before. Which is good! If you like classic Michelin, by which I mean lovely white, pressed table cloths, cheese presentations, and fawning over bread, this is probably for you (better, I think, than Les Amis, even though I’ve scored them worse for their deposit policy).

We picked this restaurant to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday and we were not disappointed. Food was delicious. 6 course lunch - with wine matching for hubby. The awards are well deserved and we would have picked this as our favourite Singapore restaurant until we visited Cloudstreet - sorry!! Still, a wonderful experience, although I found our table a bit tucked away in the corner disappointing.

A well deserved 3 Michelin star located in the National Gallery. Pick either the vegetarian menu or the Sea&Land one... both are great, no way to be disappointed. It is a true experience to visit Odette. The chef is very creative and he was very nice when he came talking to us. Enough said... just run if you can catch a table

Been to quite a few Michelin star restaurants in my time. Odette doesn't disappoint, food presentation and quality was spectacular, however, it did lack imagination. I mean, the signature egg went with the ham I remember, but it's kind of always the same ingredients with these restaurants... Then u had the typical French cuisine with a twist to it. Worthy of stars, but same old food as with all restaurants at that tier if you get what I mean.
