Lots of variety of food to choose from and lots of places to sit. We had the chili crab and small bread buns, along with chicken rice which were delicious! The satay skewers and “carrot cake” were just ok.

First of all, the location of this hawker food center was perfect for our visit as we were staying in the Marina Bay area. It was just a short walk away. We were here for lunch as well as dinner, and for desserts/drinks. We visited...quit a few hawker food centers while visiting Singapore for nearly two weeks. This is by far the biggest and cleanest one. So many choices, lots of tables so we never had to hunt for free spaces. Sure, not every food stall was 5 stars, but we did find many great fares to try. Those will be reviewed separately. Some highlights for us: Hainan chicken rice, chee cheong fun, bib gourmand mee. Definitely study the reviews online, as well as pay attention to what people lined up for. It will pay off. Also, timing is everything as well. Go when the places are busy for better food quality. Turnover is a natural way to ensure freshness. The satay street is fun to watch. Lots of promoting and hustling, practically a show. Again, pay attention to what is being offered. They are not equal.More

Very overrated place. Food is cheap but ancillary things are costly. I didn't liked the food at all. The satay was sweet only able have it with the spicy sauce.

Food variety is good. They have local food, Korean, Japanese, Filipino, Malaysian type food and more. Price is ok, and fast serving. Although beer cost more 😆. Food were good. We tried laksa, hainanese chicken rice, chicken and prawn satay, dim sum, salmon rice. Location...is not so good unless you go by taxi. Area is far from mrt station. They say it is open 24hrs, but some were already closed around 11pm.More

This Hawker centre as abundance of options for cuisines, Thai, Indian, greek, Korean and juice bars to name a few. We went twice as the price for the meals were cheap and the portion sizes were great. It is more busier at night but that...adds to the atmosphere of the place.More

Very disappointing , this is The worst, most commercial and unfriendly foodcentre. Food is really mediocre and too expensive. There are better foodcourts. Sateh Street is s rip off and best avoided . No go If I were you.

Sensational satays - best we've had in Singapore so far. Have to say it's kind of a little aggressive when you first walk in but the sellers ease off as soon as you hold your hand up and say "just looking". You'd think it was...a full on tourist place as you walk in but the tourists seem to be in the major minority (a "massive plus plus plus!" for us) and the locals were amazingly friendly and helpful, recommending what they were eating and telling you what to tell the server when you order. Really, really amazing. No one could be more helpful - the lovely older man selling satays with the menu in the street on behalf of Satay 6 (referred to on the internet here sometimes as Satay Super 6) even took our tray back for us without us even asking - something he didn't have to do. This review is based on our experience at Satay 6 and in more general terms the overall Satay Street. The wafting scent of cooking satays over good charcoal as you approach is unmistakable. We'd eaten satays elsewhere here this trip (looking at you Satay By The Bay - great if you like ordinary western food court food - a big negative from us and expensive too). Lau Pa Sat is really very much more like the street food vendors we have spent so much time with in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam - and the fact that every kind of local is eating there only solidified our need to eat here. The crispy, semi charred beef and chicken skewers (10 of each was $16SGD in total) with the out-of-this-world satay sauce plus their secret chilli sauce were accompanied by crunchy fresh pieces of cucumber and red onion. We aren't particularly fussed on the compressed rice thing (it doesn't taste like anything) so we skipped that. Had a really good chat with the fellow sitting next to us about how the market worked etc and where is good to eat. We lucked on this place when we asked a taxi driver where to go for satay - and to not take us to "satay by the bay" as the previous driver had recommended the night before. He laughed and took us straight here saying "this is where we eat" (as in the locals). Do give it a try. There's plenty of satay sellers on the street they close at night time and turn into an open air restaurant, but there's also a massive hawker market there too if you're after something else.More

This place is the place to go to for everything food and drinks. Plenty of food on offer to choose from, it’s very hard to choose. After walking around seeing what was on offer we decided to head down to satay street which is located...in the same huge food complex. The best satay we have had! A must when visiting Singapore.More

This is the home of some wonderful street food. The food is authentic and high quality, while also generally being quite cheap. We had a great experience at Stall 1 of Satay Street. We only wanted a small taste of the satay sticks before heading...off to the airport. We purchased a handful of chicken satay sticks, which were great. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. What a great way to top off a wonderful stay in Singapore.More

Utterly disgusting germ swap meet. Filthy tables populated by people eating with their hands, which wouldn’t be so bad until you consider out of 50 booths not a single vendor offers napkins. Bring your own sanitizer
