Attempted to visit this place today after walking past here on a number of occasions. Unfortunately it now appears to be completely closed. Not even any furniture left inside. And I never got to try it.

The Plain may just have the best coffee in town. Their sourdough toast with poached eggs and a side of avocado is a great breakfast. Because the open early, it's super convenient to go before work. The staff is great and the playlist makes a good start of the day :) Side note: The Plain Cafe, Ronin and Punch. Three... More

Went there on a Sunday. Had Dean's breakfast with a side of avocado and freshly squeezed orange juice. It was yum!! Its a warm and laid back cafe. I don't drink coffee so can't comment on that but I hear that they serve some excellent coffee. Would definitely go back.

Plain is my go-to place to spend a quite afternoon - either alone with a coffee and my laptop, or for a 1-on-1 meeting. The staff are friendly, the place is really clean and they have an interesting selection of food to eat. If you haven't already, you should try the vegemite and avocado sandwich. It's really good.

An Australian cafe (marmite and cheese toastie anyone?) with about 70% Australian clientele when we were there on a Sunday morning. Decor is kept simple, almost nondescript, and so was the food. Thankfully, prices are also kept low. The service staff (a few attractive young ladies) were warm, but not overly friendly, which to me, was good.

So far the best coffee place in Singapore, in my opinion. I like their coffee blend - balanced, flavourful, aromatic. Even though I'm not a fan of hot chocolate but theirs is amazing. My friends-chocolate drinkers agree wholeheartedly. I usually order their Darling's Eggs and Latte - something that makes my day always. Great atmosphere, great coffee, great people!

The place was really busy when I got there to have breakfast. The sandwiches are quite simple so nothing special in terms of their food but the coffee was excellent. I loved their flat white and of course, the warm, friendly staff who are so attentive. I'd go back for more coffee.

Nice friendly atmosphere with great breakfast and brunch items. My order was served rather quickly. Ordered the ham and cheese with tomato and poached egg. Top marks for the poached egg. Cooked to perfection. :-) Coffee also good but a tad lukewarm for my liking

Thank Colin L
