You will be greeted by extremely friendly and attentive service team at Canchita. They saw a teen in our group and took the initiative to check if they should reduce the spiciness level of a dish 👍🏻 Food is very good with loads of refreshing flavors and portions are great for sharing. My favourite goes to the octopus starter. Not to forget the nature inspired theme which made it a relaxing lunch experience.

Canchita is run by a dedicated, creative and super friendly team and provides Singapore with fantastic Peruvian cuisine in a beautiful setting. The menu is enticing with Peruvian specialities and some other South and Central American dishes available too. I highly recommend the tacos. As soon as you can go, you should!

Canchita is a great place to go and change your palette buds and travel all the way to Peru. The flavors and the environment is welcoming, you feel like coming into a tropical fun, delightful and chic place. The service is really good, the waiter was always keen to see how were things going without being so overwhelming something that we enjoyed.
About the flavor, I can only say I felt back in Southamerica! a combination of flavors textures, and the perfect combination of flavors that had harmony. It is definitely a whole different taste in each and every bite.

Love the location in a tropical forest. But! The food turned out to be Very sour, oily n salty. Many items were deep fried- and not well done at that! Their Lobster tequenos rolls turned out very unexciting. We were assured that the sourness in all dishes would be very mild- but the mixto cervice Tiger milk was way too sour. Would suggest you skip the banana fritters. The coconut dessert was interesting but very sweet. Our lunch experience turned out rather sad.

We were incredibly lucky to go for dinner right before the government closed eating out down. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to have our last shindig than Canchita.
The food is incredible. The service was extremely attentive and friendly without trying to be your best mates. OMG the cocktails!!! Our friends have never had Peruvian food, and they were extremely happy with everything they ate.
During this heightened alert period, we have continued to order at least once a week, and have been superbly surprised.
Can’t wait for restaurants to have in dining again because they will be our first choice.
Don’t miss eating or ordering from there. You won’t be disappointed

It is not often that one is able to enjoy Peruvian (and at times Latin American fusion) food and ambience in Singapore. But Canchita offers a great opportunity for those in Singapore to eat very tasty ceviche. My wife and I ate ceviche mixto, which was very nice (yes, I read some of the other reviews that this might be sour - but I think in a good way). The service staff was generally very attentive and helpful. Even for Dempsey Hill, though, it is a bit expensive; nevertheless, the restaurant is worth it for the unique experience.

One of the great things about life is having new experiences, and our recent trip to Canchita was packed with it. The food was amazing, the combination and intensity of flavours was spectacular and each dish we had was amazing, there really was no standout, everything was delicious.
We shared everything and ordered the octopus, beef skewers (anticuchos), a ceviche (must try!), the fish tacos and the crispy skin seabass (pescado palmito). The octopus was springy and fresh and served as an art piece, the beef skewers were juicy and flavourful, and the fish tacos and seabass tasted fresh from the ocean. You can really tell that the quality of ingredients is important to the chefs.
The space's ambience is unique as well, in bustling Singapore it can be hard to find a space that doesn't feel like a concrete building, but the full height windows looking out over the rainforest housing the Dempsey Hill area really added to the overall experience.
Don't miss out on the pisco cocktails either, they pack a real punch in flavour and were wonderfully balanced.
I would go again in a heartbeat.

Wait staff is v knowledgeable compared to elsewhere. We were there for brunch 1130am-1pm. Food was served promptly so 90min dining was more than sufficient.
Both waiter and waitress were able to recommend dishes. Waiter told us to start with 3 starters for 2 of us so we don't over order. Later when we asked for recommendation for small 4th dish, waitress recommended pork fried rice which was not on brunch menu, also explained it is the Cantonese who migrated to Peru, hence there is this Chinese like dish. In many places, the wait staff don't really know about the food nor history they are serving. Well done!
Everything is perfect, from food to service to place.

Prior to the COVID pandemic, I was decidedly stingy in my rating of restaurants, for example, I rated French Laundry 4 stars. I’m more grateful now.
Which is not to say, Canchita is not very good. It is. Keep this to yourself; getting a table is increasingly difficult.
Vegetarians too will love the opportunity to try a different and delicious cuisine.
Other big pluses: Chef Daniel Chavez and his staff are very warm and welcoming and the restaurant snuggles against the forest, almost feeling like a chic treehouse. Your guests will enjoy the experience.

Apart from the exquisite food they served us and the breathtaking greenery surrounding the restaurant, what made us fall in love with Canchita was their excellent customer service. From the time my friends, wife, and I arrived, we already felt at home and we're not even Peruvians haha! Chef Daniel went personally to each table to thank the diners and to check if we've enjoyed our food -- let me tell you, we did enjoy our food! Their head chef, Chef Tamara, was all smiles while bidding farewell as we left the premise. Their staff, all welcoming and unintimidating to a point that on our way home (this was a few hours after our dinner as we had dessert somewhere else), we bumped into one of them and she recognized us! If you want great food and outstanding service, this is the place to be.

Daniel and Tamara never disappoint with their fabulous menu and wonderful attentive staff. In fact getting a booking at Canchita is one of the hottest tickets in town. I am a huge fan and every time I introduce friends there they return on their own and have been so happy. It’s so unique to be a return customer to a restaurant and not see standards fall but stay consistent and even improve. Well done to the Canchita team.

Maybe my expectations were high (considering I have frequented Latin America) .. Peruvian food is juxtaposition of flavours, senses, textures, visually irresistible and served with panache.
Canchita is at best Kentucky Fried Food with Nando’s sauce at $45 per dish ! Sorry guys.

My New FAVOURITE restaurant! The ambience is perfect, such a happy atmosphere, not too loud but just really lively and friendly music. Beautiful decor. Really like the large tables as we usually feel greedy as we can’t fit all the plates on the tables in some restaurants! Absolutely love the corkage policy which makes such a difference for selecting what drinks to go with. Han was outstanding as our main server, although all staff were attentive and helpful. Han was particularly in tune with customers and was really engaged in supporting other staff too who perhaps had less experience. This restaurant really really has got excellent staff and clearly their procedures are working to provide the best customer experience. It’s a large space and was totally packed but at every point isn’t one everyone had food and drinks and was happy.
The ceviche is absolutely incredible and the best I’ve ever had, as was the octopus. So soft you don’t need a knife. The tacos, lamb and suckling pig were also delicious and I can’t wait to come back here.
I can tell it’s never going to let you down!

I dont usually write restaurant review. But this restaurant worth the efforts! Came across to this gem while browsing FB and gave it a try! CS was helpful to share with me the cuisine and items i should give a try. I odered the family bundle for 2. Foods are heavenly, especially the seafood rice, was made to perfection of our taste! Truly amazed by the food! Cant wait to see them in action in restaurant! Highly recommend!

Peruvian cuisine hasn't quite caught on yet here in Singapore, and it's time people know about it.
The wife and I have had Nikkei cuisine (Peruvian ingredients shaped by Japanese techniques) on our travels before, so we knew this would be exciting. And we were not disappointed.
We had the Ceviche Clásico, it was fresh, tangy, and an explosion of flavours.
Next was the Octopus a la Brasa. Generous tentacle that was plump and succulent.
But the highlight was Lomo Saltado, a Peruvian-Cantonese stir fried Wagyu. We told the staff it tasted like our local zhichar dish of beef hotplate! And that's not being disrespectful. Honestly, it caught us by surprise, and a pleasant one at that - the flavours that accompanied the tender Wagyu was utterly sublime.
And the waiting staff was simply on point with their level of service, especially one of the Chinese local chap, who appeared the most senior and most engaged (apologies as I didn't get his name).
Kudos to Chef Daniel Chavez and his team. Muchas gracias!
