We were glad to come in out of the monsoon rain that caught up with us in Dec (rains 2 hrs each afternoon). Being in a prime location the prices were prime too, food average. Nice server, Nobody there but us. Pretty inside and view of bay and ship in the sky.

To be fair, if they could keep up with what is printed on the menu or wine list, it could be alright, however, almost everything we tried to order was not yet delivered to be offered. There was a burger, but we did not want a burger. There was pasta also. Other things were in short supply. When we finally... More

About a dozen industry colleagues/friends met up after work recently. We booked an outdoor table and given the time of year, it was very pleasant sitting outdoors. A great spot for watching the laser light show and views across the water to Marina Bay Sands. We ordered appetizers and drinks - both quite expensive but I think that this has... More

This place is very expensive and you feel so hot if you are given a table outside. Its totally boring and no one seems to be interested in serving you anything.

I've been here twice after work and the bartender who's name I can only remember start from J makes the best Bloody Mary. During my first trip, the whitebait was overly salty. The next time I went there, I informed the GR to inform the cook to sprinkle minimal salt and it was perfect. View was not amazing but overall... More

Imagine an oyster bar where there would be barely 4 choices of oysters on a regular day, only 1 or 2 kinds of oysters on a busy week-end... Yes, you are at Oyster Bar Customs House. Imagine an oyster bar where you would pay 10 dollars for one little (number 4 size) oyster with absolutely nothing exceptional in taste... Yes,... More

Great location overlooking Marina Bay Sands but only has high tables with stools to sit on, so not really suited to having dinner here. Service was attentive and friendly and we had the chef's special of four different varieties of oysters (three of each), which we shared between two of us and it was sufficient as they were quite large... We were here on New Year's Eve 2014 for the views and found the menu dreadfully overpriced for the quality, even accounting for the NYE premium. (ended up paying $300 ish per person including drinks, which we would happily give to any other better bar/restaurant going forward.) Here, the NYE set menu had barely lukewarm food when served and the... More

We are sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience on New Year's Eve. Due to overwhelming reservations and in our attempt to manage expectations to fulfil hungry patrons, we had designed our menu at 128++ including a glass of celebratory champagne. However, the a la carte menu was also available. The manager should have taken better note... More

Staying in Marina Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighbourhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.
