Fast service, affordable price, nice noodle dishes but chewy chicken. Ok if you in the neighborhoods but is not worth a transfer just for it.

Excellent little restaurant - a real gem - situated close to the river and Chinatown. Excellent tucker, and one can sit outside and watch the world go by, while enjoying a meal and a beer. We always visit this restaurant when in Singapore. The menu is great and the prices are reasonable. We recommend any of the spicy fish dishes.... More

Pavement dining for good quality Thai food, home cooking style. Feels like it is a family run place. Less bustling than nearby boat quay, better quality food, and considerably cheaper (very good value in fact). Recommended.

A regular haunt of ours, with a typical Thai coffee shop style menu, we most recently visited earlier this evening. We sit outside, people watch, eat reasonably priced thai food, and drink cold, cheap Tiger/guiness. It stays open late, a real bonus. Service is friendly and prompt. Surprised that no one else has mentioned this, but we now avoid the... More

Found Thai Smile Café online while searching for a recommended but reasonably priced restaurant near Boat Quay. We went here on our 2nd night in Singapore, a Thursday. It was only a short walk (290m) from our hotel but we had to walk on the street and watch out for oncoming vehicles as the sidewalks on Lorong Telok were taken... More

I was referred to this place by a colleague as a nice casual authentic Thai, and we loved it! The owner is piece of work, very masterful in kindly inviting guess to her humble abode. The restaurant itself is NOT fanciful like the surrounding stores, but the food definitely makes up for it! My wife and I ate here once... More

If you do not mind plastic chairs and tables but love Thai food that is so cheap you feel compelled to leave a tip then this place is for you. Honestly this was one of the best Thai meals I have ever eaten and excellent value for the money paid. Basil & chilli minced chicken, Tom Yam clear soup, baby... More

Yes, the ambiance is not the best - plastic tables and chairs on the sidewalk, but that just adds to the experience. We really enjoyed everything we ordered and the green papaya salad was especially good. The service was good and the location is convenient just off the Boat Quay.

I've probably been here 10 times, and never been disappointed. It's very casual, with plastic chairs, tables etc. but is open late and the food is consistently good and very affordable. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area and have a craving for good Thai food!

I am not into ambiance when searching for good food. This place serves awesome Thai food. I have returned multiple times and probably have ordered half (or maybe more) from their menu. BOTTOM LINE: If you like Thai food and don't care much about where or what you sitting on. This is the place!
