Way overpriced. Staff not attentive, more worried about getting the bill payment and closing up. No water offered. Took 15 minutes to actually be asked if we want a drink or to order. People next to us came much later received food first. We received our food not together but one disg every twenty minutes which is pathetic for Japanese... More

The restaurant probably brought & served the finest ingredients you can get for Japanese food in Singapore. They have selection of premium beef, fishes, sashimi & sushi with luxury touch of fresh truffle oil and all tastes considerably delicious. However, the cooking process is quite slow especially when you order grill & teppanyaki menu. Price wise is expensive but if... More

I absolutely loved this place on my first visit 2 years ago. The sushi size was fresh and generous. Food was also refined and delicious. It's sad to see how far it's fallen since the heydays. You can also tell from the lack of diners at this place. It's kind of a death spiral, no crowds, cut back on food... More

Ordered the seasonal tasting course for $168. It was very good but made me super full. Better if lower price with less dishes. Considering the cost to procure fresh, good materials for Japanese food in Singapore, price should naturally be higher than in Tokyo, so I guess I shouln't complain much.

Good food to try, especially the 45-min chicken. It is very nice chicken and rice. The ramen also tasty and delicious. Should try.

Returned to Hide Yamamoto on my recent trip to Singapore and was not disappointed. Chef Max was fantastic as usual and all the food was on point. I had some of the same food as previous trips as well as some new items. If you are in the mood for Japanese food while in Singapore, call ahead and set a... More

Don't be misled by the picture next to Hide Yamamoto, which implies it is a local hawker place. It actually offers premium Japanese dining. The food is undoubtedly good but like Tetsuya nearby, the price charged is eye-popping. So you want authentic and good Japanese food at any cost, this is the place for you. Otherwise, Tokyo is a better... More

Not high end and the local sushi chefs lack the skills. If expectations are lowered then ok to come.

Tried the lunch set today. Surprisingly very reasonably priced at SGD$38 each. With wagyu beef an extra SGD$10. You can choose appettizer of green salad or 3 small japanese appertizers. Opening dishes either tempura or sashimi. Main course either noodle or rice with options of beef or pork. I tried cha siu don. Very delicious cha siu pork, tender. Dessert... More

We were looking for good quality sashimi & delicious Japanese food & decided to give this a try. There are different settings available within the restaurant & we chose sushi bar as we're worried about smelling if we were to be seated in grill area. This also gives us the opportunity to watch the chef prepare our sashimi right in... More

Staying in Marina Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighbourhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.
