We stopped here to eat on our first evening in Singapore because it just looked good from the outside and is in a good location for watching the action out on Orchard Road.
I had confit de canard salad and my wife had ravioli - we both enjoyed our food and also the great Gin Tonic recommended by our server. Nice food and a nice place but it really didn't feel like a French restaurant.

Met a friend for breakfast at 9am. Breakfast menu was quite limited as they were out of Açaí Bowl and Crepes. So we were left with French pastries, egg dishes or Energy pancakes, Chocolate cake and Chia seed-infused yoghurt which my friend chose whilst I had the poached eggs with salad & mashed avocado - which is quite expensive for $23++. Be aware that they enforce the 90mins sitting very seriously as we were gently reminded at 10:30am.

Best ravioli we’ve ever had!! :) Would highly recommend that everyone try it! We also really loved the passionfruit hummus and pineapple dessert. It’s unlike anything we’ve ever tried before!
We were also really impressed with the service of the staff at this branch. In my booking order I mentioned it was my sister’s birthday, and to our pleasant surprise, they remembered and even helped us to light a candle and write ‘happy birthday’ on the dessert we ordered (without us requesting for it). :) A special thanks to our main server Marilyn for being so friendly and nice to talk to!
The cute cafe decor was definitely a plus point too. Will definitely be back!

This is the 3rd and newest outlet. I have been to the one @ club street and Tiong Bahru and have been blown away by the service staff and food. The reason why I tried the Orchard outlet was because the staff at the other 2 outlets was heavily promoting it and since I have at good experience at both the 2 outlets, I didn’t mind trying the newest outlet.
The service was extremely disappointing for the starters when I ordered the croque marcel which was my usual at the other 2 branch, I would request to change the bread from
Sour dough to baguette and the serve immediately said no due to the shape of the bread. It was only after she heard me telling her that I could get it at the other 2 outlet before she said she would try.
The croquet marcel came extremely hard n cold with little cheese and half baguette completely plain and I had to ask for butter.
The tea came without spoon for stirring or sugar. I had to ask twice before I could get any of those. Portion size was slightly smaller too.
This is the worst of the 3 branches.

High levels of quality from food to service are pillars of our company. Regarding the croque marcel, we usually serve it with sourdough as it provides the thickness that the dish requires from the bread. Our staff did indeed mention that the baguette may not be suitable because of the crust. However, as it was mentioned that you have successfully requested for the bread to be changed to baguette in our other two outlets, we have kindly served it as requested. Upon checking with your table in the middle of your meal, no complaints were raised. Marcel loves our guest and we do our best to make your dining experience with us enjoyable. Should we have been informed on the spot, we would have been able to address your concerns and rectify it as we would have known at the moment that your experience was unpleasant.
As weekend brunch is one of our busiest service, we apologise about the missing spoon and if this had caused you inconvenience.

Came here to have dinner with some friends I love the ambience and setting of Merci Marcel waitresses were friendly and attentive. The beef was done very well and the pasta was on point the pizza was nice as well. We wanted to have desert but we were very full. Will definitely visit again to try their dessert and brunch.

The only thing is it is safer to book if you can. We had a booking at 1030 which was breakfast time. Logically, we could have ordered one breakfast dish first, then order another dish at 11 from the lunch menu. The waitress was concerned if we could finish the lunch dish within our 1.5 hour time slot. Actually I think we could have but anyway, we decided to order just from the breakfast menu since the lunch menu was not that large anyway. We ordered the poached eggs which came with a generous serving of avocado, accompanied by pomegranates, which gave a nice crunch to the dish, served on a nicely toasted piece of bread. The energy pancakes were less inspiring, but the peanut butter was a nice touch. My husband ordered coffee and the waitress asked if I would like to have orange juice. When I asked if it was freeze juice, she asked me to look at her muscles, which she apparently built by squeezing fruit juices and doing other manual tasks besides serving food. Since she had a good sense of humour, I ordered the orange juice, which was fresh orange juice as promised. Ambience wise, the cafe is well designed so you can sit 'outside' facing greenery but not feel hot because you can feel the air conditioning from the inside of the cafe, and cool air from two ceiling fans.

The cafe was located in a quiet mall (opposite Hilton Hotel) along Orchard Road. Although we had a reservation at 2pm, we had to wait for quite some time before we were allowed in. The place was quite crowded but proper safe distancing measures were taken to ensure a safe dining environment.
We ordered the eggs benedict, fries to share and a chocolate cake. I was intending to order a crepe but was informed that their machine was not working which was a pity. However, I was pleasantly surprised by their chocolate cake which was moist and not too sweet. For drinks, we ordered "A Spring in Paris" mocktails which were sweet and refreshing.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch at Merci Marcel. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. While the place tends to be busy (and hence it may be hard to get the attention of the staff at times), the service provided was exceptional and the waiters were friendly and helpful. The cafe was well-lit and there was also a partial outdoor area for alfresco dining. Looking forward to returning and trying out the other items on their menu.

We had a delightful dinner at Merci Marcel. The ambiance is relaxed and inviting, and the menu was delightful. We enjoyed one of the local cheese selections to start. For dinner, I enjoyed the vegetarian flatbread, which was full of flavor. For dessert, we tried the nutty crepe special, which was a great way to end the dinner.
The service was attentive and made the night enjoyable, and the food was served at a leisurely pace. We will definitely return!

I ordered food delivery from this location numerous times. The fish, chicken, and salads have good quality ingredients and clean flavors without too much salt or seasoning. I tried two bottles of their wine (~$40/bottle) from Rhone and Languedoc. The wines do not have the typical great characteristic of the regions. The Rhone had way too much alcohol which totally overwhelmed the fruit and the Languedoc had odd flavors upon opening and became quite lifeless after decanting for an hour. I believe these wines would sell for a few Euros/bottle in France. I hope the wines can be improved because the food deserves it.

Been our third visit to Merci Marcel, and it didnt disappoint. By this time, we already knew the food that we wanted to order. These are must try's:
Pan Au Chocolat or Croissant
Ravioles de Royans
Home made fries with Truffle sauce
Tartare Flambe (i didnt enjoy this, since i am wearing braces, this is my fault lol) but my friend did! So worth mentioning here.
Cold cuts were also very good and theyd serve it with Bread Basket. Ask for butter. Thank me later.
The ambiance is very cosy, it's not too noisy and you can enjoy a meal while chitchatting with your friends.
The service especially that of Marylin and Sikh yesterday was commendable.
I'd definitely visit again! Almot forgot, I also love the coffee here, it's strong which i prefer.

Yumi's service is really good. Love the way how she converse with her customers in a very natural way and make us feel really good about visiting merci marcel for a meal and a good drink. I visited merci marcel on my anniversary and yumi gave us complimentary creme brulee too. Very recommended!

Really great service at Palais!!! Marilyn is amazing. So thoughtful, full of energy and made the experience complete :) Enjoyed the food too of course! At the start, the restaurant manager was also great in recommending dishes. Personalised service! Will keep coming back! :)

Heard great reviews about Merci Marcel from friends, and finally managed to try. Warm welcome from Sherry as soon as you arrive. Was seated at the bar, as it was still winding down from lunch service.
Ordered an espresso, Duck Parmentier, and Ravioles de Royans « Palais ». After tasting the duck confit, thought it was best paired with wine. Abiel, knowledgeable bartender that he is, immediately had the best wine suggestion of Côtes du Rhône Villages Visan AOC 2019. Delightfully impressed of how well it went with the shredded duck confit.
Super attentive service from Sherry, MJ and Abiel who would ask how my food was and if I wanted anything else, like desserts or another glass of wine; the latter of which I ordered another glass.
Overall, the restaurant had a great ambiance, plus the staff were cheerful and greeted arriving and departing guests enthusiastically.

We didn't make any reservations and were ushered to the bar seats, which we were totally fine. However after ordering Mary Jane switched us to more comfortable seats with sofas as she realised we had a lot of items with us. We were really grateful for that gesture. A service crew in ponytail took our order (sadly we didn't catch her name), she was polite and explained the menu to us & cleared our queries. Marilyn served our food and took our dessert order, she ensured our dining experience was great throughout. Food was outstanding, we had the Duck Parmentier & the Rosemary Infused Chicken Breast. This was my 2nd time here but my partner's 1st, he loved the food so much that he insisted on desserts, we had the French toast which wasn't too sweet just to my liking. Food came very timely, we didn't have to wait. All in all we had a great dining experience here, the ambience was beautiful and every angle is insta-worthy. Thank you for the awesome service & food! Terrible experience ordering today with restaurant refusing to acknowledge they delivered a substandard meal. The Caesar Salad online looks great, but mine had missing ingredients and wound up in the trash. Attached photos show the menu image vs. what I received and restaurant insists it’s correct, even with the missing chicken. Never again.
