Excellent little restaurant in Tiong Bahru. Sometimes the serving staff can be a little snobby in French restaurants, but not here. The service is professional, humble and friendly, just as it should be.
Wines are very reasonably priced, and the food is stylish bistro type. We shared a charcuterie board and then shared the strip loin - both were excellent.

Such great ambience for a chillax date! It instantly teleports you overseas without having to travel ( or rather can't travel given Covid-19). The friendly staff has highly recommended the Ravioles De Royan and Creme Brulee Passion fruit. Love both! I would also recommend the crossiant paired with jam which I love, sadly its not available for sales.

We went to Merci Marcel for Breakfast. The staff is very friendly and pay attention to the customers. We could choose between sparkling and still water and got it in a nice bottle arranged with two nice glases. It is a detail but if you are in a higher price class you need to provide this. We had a Croque Marcel and the French toast. The Croque was good, could have another egg on it as the combination with the ham and cheese was very good. Unluckily only the half of the croque was covered with an egg. French toast was good as well, the berries were quite delicious and with the almonds and the whip cream a good combination.
Overall a good price/value relation and recommended to go there, though I felt there is a bit space to improve the meals.

Merci Marcel brings a bit of Paris to this corner of Singapore. The space is light and airy; plants give it a ‘conservatory’ feel. Staff are on point, but equally laid back; diners are immediately disarmed and relaxed.
When it comes to eating, though, the French toast fails to excite with its plain and dry slices of brioche. There is none of the France-iness of real French toast. Still, I’m having a good time. The eggs benedict is thankfully a saving grace.
Style clearly reigns over substance. This is the true truth as I say it as it is…

For those who like grabbing eggs benny for brunch, Merci Marcel serves French fusion cuisine. I like the ambience of the place in Tiong Bahru. Coffee is just OK, nothing out of the ordinary

We queued for about 30 minutes. Our seat is at the back of the building with skylight, so it’s extremely hot. We ordered two main dishes which are Beef Tenderloin Carpaccio(thinly sliced beef) and Tarte Flambee( thin pizza). The beef was not fresh and some has changed to brown/ grayish. Furthermore, the dark chocolate that comes with the cappuccino was moldy. The food is not cheap but the quality is not worthy at all.

We went to Merci Marcel to celebrate my husband's birthday. It had a lovely atmosphere with great staff. Being 4 months pregnant, I was particularly impressed by our waiter with his knowledge of what items were and weren't pregnancy friendly (there's a lot of cheese and meats on the menu). The food was delicious as were the drinks. We will definitely be back.

Merci Marcel is an excellent place for quality food served fresh, and the staff are extremely helpful to accomodate your requests (where possible) during Phase 3 Heightened Alert. SDM measures are observed, seating is spaced at an appropriate but comfortable distance and the staff are very thoughtful to offer excellent suggestions while also advising on how dishes can be split should your family need to dine at 2 separate tables. Mugilan and Eve were notably helpful. Food is excellent as well, the Duck Rillettes, Falafel, Steak, as well as Lemon Tart are my personal highlights.

Was here with my date and was served mainly by service crew Alvin who make the night especially delightful by curating the right drinks according to our preferences. He also recommended dishes that satisfied us even tho our taste might be different. Overall the drinks, food and service was beyond expectation.

The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere and it reminds me of Parisien restaurants with its patio on the back. The food was good and a very good ratio price to quality. We did not try the desserts as we were full after the starter and the main course, therefore the plates are quite good size.
The service was quick and nice. The wine by the glass was good quality and moderate price.
We will definitely come back!

This lovely cozy restaurant is located within walking distance or 1 bus stop away from Tiong Bahru MRT. The patio atmosphere felt very romantic. Our waitress Felicia was friendly and bubbly which made us feel welcome and she paid a lot of attention to us. She also recommended a few good dishes to us and we truly enjoyed it. Egg plant crumble, Duck Rillettes, Breaded Chicken in tomato pineapple sauce and Ravioles de Rayons (French dumpling pasta filled with Tete de Mione cheese) and White Anastasia tea. Good food and good staff service made a memorable evening.

Greeted by the floor manager when I arrived at the cafe. Thereafter being served by Felicia. Felicia is bubbly, friendly and very helpful. When I mentioned that my friend is vegetarian, she took the effort to check with the chef on the vegan dishes and how its done. She is attentive as well. When she realised that my hp batt is low and my friends are not here yet, she lent me her personal powerbank. Food is really good and portion is big. Atmosphere is nice. Really put on a smile on my face to end off my night. Thank you 😉

Love the ambiance Went for a brunch on sunday heard alot about this place and wanted to give it a try. The moment we enter we feel so welcome and all the staff were so friendly which is very hard to find in Singapore. I love the eggs bens with the crispy ham on it and my wife enjoyed the raviol. Will be back.

Food was delicious (except the chocolate cake- a bit dry) but very disappointed by the main manager. Quite impolite, speaking like a machine more than a human, wanted to expedite as fast as possible our dinner, fortunately we had a very nice local waitress very gentle and smiling.
Maybe the manager needs a some holidays? Or change job.
Or please treat your customer as human being.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff gave my friend good advice about what she could eat that was Gluten /dairy free. Thank you the waitress Shang to recommend my friend something to eat that was filling and delicious. Would recommend to anyone looking for top service cafe or nice French foods. Will definitely come back again.
