Come here for both the food and the ambiance. The restaurant is divided into smaller sections for big or small groups, and you feel more like you're dining in an old town quarter, or and antiques shop. You're surrounded by old wood carvings and remnants of the Dutch colonization. The food is a fusion of Dutch and Indonesian/Chinese cuisine. We... More

The high point of this restaurant is the facility itself. Divided into numerous fairly private dining areas. Ate here with a large group on business in Jakarta. The service was impeccable and the food was good, though not amazingly great.

Wonderful restaurant offering Local, Chinese and Dutch cuisine. Beautiful presentation, well thought out dishes with a flair, and extensive menu. Entree dishes are cheap cheap, about $5-8 Canadian dollars each. Enjoyed the food and the cheap premium booze too. Menus are in Indonesian and English. Bottled water on the table. Typical 10% restaurant tax and 5% service fee, added to... More

I have been here three times now. The decorations and the interior are nice, I like it cause it's really authentic and original, it doesnt look fake or decorated in purpose. The food were nice and there are so many choices that you can get. In the end of your food or before your food delivered to you, (if you... More

in my personal opinion the decoration is kind of classic for chinese with lot's of antic and semi modern. from external you will never expect what to find until you walk into the dining hall itself. honestly it kind of surprise me. food wise consider unique. will try again there if there's a chance.

I don't like with the ambience. So dark and old. The food is okay but not special. Not make me want to come back again and again.

Last time I was here was like more than 5 years ago, so I wondered whether Dapur Babah could keep its quality after all these years. It didn't disappoint me. The dishes were delicious, the only minor letdown was smaller portion of roasted duck; it seemed bigger last time i was here. But then again it was more than 5... More

the service was great. this time I got a chance to taste their 'Ayam Kodok', it said on the menu that it's for 2-3 persons, in fact, it was enough for our group of 6. unfortunately, the Ayam Kodok was a bit dry, will order it again next time just to see if it supposed to be that dry or... More

First time to visit this restaurant with two business colleagues. There were also two large groups dining. Dimly lighted but spotlights available above tables. Antiques everywhere inside the restaurant. Friendly staff, even addressing me by name, as innovatively my name was written on a piece of leave. A Javanese Dancer entertained the two large groups. Quite a number of variety... More
