Not your predictable Japanese restaurant... this place is hip and rocks electronic music with a lot of bass! The food was excellent, but not standard Japanese. They have a wide array of menu selections and offer varied types of preparations "typical" of a Japanese restaurant. Selections are served to share. They have many tempura offerings.:.. we enjoyed tempura lobster which... More

Unobtrusive but efficient service, food and quality to die for, the variety and choice of food, salmon , tuna and sweet shrimp sashimi, spare ribs, spinach salad, prawn tempura, fresh oysters, excellent sushi, the carpaccios, superb platter of grilled meats and vegees, all cooked and made perfectly and the icing on the cake was definitely the dessert platter with ice cream... I've been to Zuma in London, Dubai and Bangkok. Zuma Hong Kong is by far the most expensive one and the worst service. I have a habit of collecting all the bills when I travel. When I paid for the bill it has for 1 or 2 dollars in change so I was waiting and waiting for the change to... More

Zuma is located in Central, Hong Kong island. It's fusion traditional izakaya style of informal dining. It's all sharing plates. We ordered scallops, wings and ribs from the robata grill as well as sashimi. All delicious. We also order a bottle of Japanese red wine - a Pinot - very light but not up to the mark. The atmosphere is... More

The place is really cool! It is outstanding cool! The food is good, very good & super expensive. Packed with Expats it feels already expensive, the Menu is as big as a book, so we chose the menu. At the end we could not miss the spare ribs which were fantastic, as well as the Carpaccio, the Sushi, the Wagyu,... More

Zuma has a great location, but unfortunately the service was appalling. The waiters were stand offish, took forever to serve our table on the deck, and the drinks took forever to arrive. Zumba I think suffers from a severe attitude problem

Zuma is simply awesome Don't opt for the set menu at night as a la carte is much better and not more expensive (Chefs choices are pretty much the dishes you don't want to order :-)) Get some sake with the food, it's very nice Staff is very nice and they truly deliver a top notch evening This place is... Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
