These are the best egg tarts we ever had. We do not usually crave for egg tarts when back at home, but their egg tarts got us addicted, can’t help it with 3 tarts in one shot during our second visit. They had a quite a few branches in HK, so it was easy for us to go back for... More

We've had egg tarts in Macau, Singapore, Hong Kong and other parts of Asia and this one is the best with its shortbread crust and custard filling. Not at all eggy and crust is buttery and melts in your mouth.

If u wanted to find Hong Kong style, wanna experience Hong Kong food, this is a must try food, egg tart. This shop had a nice egg tart and one of the best I had try. Soft in the inside, not too hard at the outside. I love it. Not expensive. Worth eating!!! Yummy!

Eat it while it's hot. The tart will practically melt in your mouth. I don't normally like egg tarts and I hardly ever eat them - not unless they're Tai Cheung's.

Have it warm, straight from the oven. Do not keep it overnight like I did. It's still good but would definitely have been WAY more awesome when its fresh out of the oven.

Not the best egg tart I had in Hong Kong but this is definitely the most popular place and not to be missed. There is more than one location but the Central location is easy to find if you are by the mid level escalators.

Highly popular with the Mainland China and Korean tourist and well deserving since their pastries are so good. Great egg tarts and sugar puffs. Expect line ups all the time but service is very fast so the wait is never long.

This is my to-go place for egg tart. Every time travel to HongKong, I have to buy at least a dozen for my mum. Best egg tart I've ever had! One tip, no matter how many you've bought, always make sure to try one when it is still warm :)

Really yummy egg tarts, one of the best that I have ever eaten. About HKD 100 for a dozen of them only.

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
