Good location, good sushi, not cheap, but nice atmosphere too. Recommended if you like Japanese food of good quality.

This is a really good Japanese restaurant - it is not cheap but some of the dishes are exceptional - the Tuna tartare with crispy garlic flakes wrapped in iced lettuce is a must. Having said that I have eaten at this restaurant a number of times and the food has always been excellent.

Great variety and great food no matter what you order. Service brilliant and added extras given as an addition to your neal shows how they care about their clientele and making it an experience for old and new clients. Just set off a bustling street so lots to do when finished eating if you feel like clubbing or pub crawling

Excellent foot, especially the spicy tuna wrapped in lettuce. We met David Beckham there , so I guess that's a good sign !

I've been going to Tokyo Joe religiously since 2007 when visiting Hong Kong. It's still is good as 10 years ago. The place has great energy, the staff is wonderful and the food as fresh and tasty as ever. We'll be back in June when we visit Hong Kong next.

I visited with a few family members however I expected the restaurant to be more spacious. Would not recommend family visits however the vibe is great if you're looking to go out with friends. The portions are small but nearly all the dishes I ordered were beyond expectation. Price was reasonable considering what they delivered as family restaurant. Overall a... More

Terrific restaurant with very interesting and oroginal dishes. The ambience is nothing special but the street has an ambience of its own! Full of bars, restaurants and people - this gives this place it's special atmosphere. The salads are quite delicious and the silver doe is most special. Raeevarion is necessary. Thoroughly enjoyed and recommended.

Tokio Joe’s simple décor and friendly staff provide a relaxed and casual alternative to formal Japanese dining. Interior space is highlighted by wooden paper screens, natural wood and open sushi bar giving an airy feel. The ‘user friendly’ menu features traditional favourites and innovative creations with anemphasis on fresh sushi and sashimi. A must try are Joe’s Soft Shell Crab Rolls and deliciously fresh Spicy Toro Tartar.

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
