Food: Yummy and decent Taiwanese food! There are some signature Taiwanese home-cooked style dishes which are pretty tasteful and delicious! Being Taiwanese myself, this is where I'd go with friends if they want Taiwanese food but at a rather decent and proper restaurant environment! Key Takeaway: If you want night market and Taiwanese home-style foods but in a slightly upscale... More

It's difficult to find reasonably priced places in central for dinner. This restaurant offers delicious taiwanese dishes at a reasonable price and with a suitable ambiance for gathering with friends.

My wife and I were in the ''Elements Mall'' in Tsim Sha Tsui (Kowloon) which has one of ''The Night Market'' restaurants located on the 1st floor. They offer a set menu special tasting plate of various Asian foods in either a standard or Dim Sum style. An exotic drink such as ''Bubble Tea'' is offered as an extra. Everything... More

It is very typical of touristy places but still fun with great way to try fun interesting foods that greatly affordable. This place also have ton ton of cheap trinkets as souveniers. Have fun with bargaining as you can always negotiates for better deals. Definitely try to walk away from merchants if you still think the price could be lower... More

I have been to the market a number of times over 15 years. It has definitely shrunk! Unfortunately the bargains have also shrunk as has the diversity. Not what it was but worth a visit.

Had a casual lunch hang out with friends and this restaurant is on the Stanley street very easy access from central. The restaurant on the 6 floor has nice modern decoration and great lunch set menus. 3-cup chicken (guess that made by three different sauces) has authentic Taiwan taste - simple, clean and tasty. A nice place for casual lunch... More

The food menu is huge, includes the large variety of dishes you would enjoy in Taiwan . The Beef Noodle soup favour is amazing , bursting with intense flavor . Really good value for money. Large portions .

It was the first time that we tried Taiwanese food and we loved it. Our friend who lives in HK took us there and we loved it. A must try if you are in HK.

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
