A friend recommended and we went to Smrat restaurant. First of all getting there is not easy and it is not a posh kind of area. Located inside a building near TST MTR at Nathan rd. As you enter the building and head towards life, you would find shopkeepers asking to buy sim, food, etc. Crowded and busy lobby. The... More

I came here with high expectations because of all the positive reviews I'd read online and I was not disappointed. The food here was so flavoursome with a depth not usually found in restaurant Indian food. I ordered the black dahl and a spicy vindaloo and both dishes were great. Chung King is a Seedy building but restaurants like this... More

In a dingy old building CHUNGKING MANSION but amazing North Indian vegetarian cuisine, great homely food, little hard to find, some local guidance can help. Very affordable prices, run by a sardar family.

Located on the 5th floor of Chun King Mansion, which not long ago this was considered one of the most dangerous parts of Kowloon. It's improved a bit but still very seedy. We took an elevator crammed with people to the 5th floor, then rang a doorbell at the door. Our waiter answered the door and let us in. Inside... More

We had breakfast and dinner there for almost 2 consecutive days and loved the food. The place is small and feels more like a dhaba but the food is excellent. We asked them to deliver the food to our hotel and they offered fast delivery and hot food. The aloo parantha are better than India. I was only hungry for... More

These guys are fantastic. They make excellent indian food right in heart of Chunking mansions. My mother is a pure vegetarian (without onion and garlic) and I was skeptical while my trip to Hong kong. But these guys did a really great job, they even delivered the food in the hotel room. Must try... Allo paratha with dahi and Chole... More

We left Disneyland after the Fireworks show and reached TST post 10.30pm to find most of the eating joints shut. As we were walking past CK mansion, we allowed a tout to take us to this place claiming it was a "clean family place", which immediately made me suspicious. However all apprehensions vanished when we met the owner, an elderly... More

This place is in Chunking Mansions on the 5th floor. Decent food and menu with mostly Punjabi Indian cuisine. The ambience is strictly ok for the kind of money being charged.
