We wanted to try authentic dim sum whilst in HK but felt overwhelmed by the local Chinese offerings on street or up dingy staircases. Thus chain was bright and clean and there were pictures to help you choose. The food was delicious, you order from...More

Soup Dumplings. I can't get enough. Visited for the 2nd time, on my last business trip to Hong Kong. I've been treated to Din Tai Fung in Taichung Taiwan, which was very good, but the wait can be well over 1 hour in the Taiwan...More

This Taiwanese chain doesn't behave like a chain. There are some differences in offer and preparation in each of the restaurants, but all maintain an extremely high standard for the quality and service.

This large restaurant is loud, makes very good food at a great price, but is perhaps more of an eating factory than a place to sit and enjoy the food? Anyway, service is blunt but efficient, food comes not at the same time for everyone...More

Very popular and very tasty. Its not a fancy restaurant but the food is great and you can even watch them making dumplings while you wait to be seated. We'll be going back to try the things we missed on the menu!

If you're after great food, served quickly and at very reasonable prices, this is a must visit. I visited with three friends, one of whom was vegetarian, and we found something for all of us. The standout though was the Xiao Long Bao - the...More

The restaurant is huge but they have a very quick service with kitchen at sight. Picked cucumber and buns with soup inside are their specialties. You need to get few different dishes to share and have some noodles or rice, Yummy! The service, although is...More

Great food, great service, great prices, basically a great experience. Been here several times and never disappointed. Wide range of din sum including a great range of vegetarian options.

This is an international chain where the restaurants always have a line during peak hours. This branch is typical which is excellent. Start the meal with Tsing Tao beer and the spicy cucumbers. My favorite orders are Xiao Long Bao Pork Dumplings, the Black Truffle...More

We visited this establishment based on the reviews on TA and were not disappointed. Apart from the dumplings which everyone quite correctly rave about , we really enjoyed the fried rice and a house speciality of beef and ginger. The ordering system is excellent and...More

Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of
Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and
restaurants, both areas are bustling with people –
tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the
highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more
polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart.
Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye –

By Taxi it is ~50 HKD (I think) as our hotel was near the Din Tai Fung. But there are several Din Tai Fung in Hong Kong so you should make sure you pick the easiest one to get to.

Don't think their chicken or pork is halal. Choose vege dumplings, vege buns and noodles instead. go for early lunch (before noon) or early dinner (before 6.30pm) so you could get a table easier.
