We had the tasting menu with paired wines. Each dish was special and lovingly explained by our personal chef. Not cheap at c.hkd1,500 each but worth it for a special night out. Definitely a great place for any foodie people.

Fantastic dinner for 2....chef looked after us and explained the dishes and shared his experiences as a chef - it was a great evening ! After nervously booking online and wondering whether the reservation was recorded or not, we were greeted as if we were regulars...phew. We sat down and selected the wine pairing which was well worth the experience,... More

I am feeling very lucky to be at this restaurant. I consider myself as a hobby cook. This is the perfect place to be.... I can see how the chef prepare to cook. Very fine experience....

Fantastic. Food was great, service was flawless, overall outstanding and comparable to some of the top places in HK.

This restaurant is very swish. Stunning views of the central buildings, simple stylish decor. Seats are all round the open kitchen. Food is really very good. Some very surprising and imaginative dishes. The matching wine pairings were excellent. Staff all very friendly, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about the food and wine. This is an excellent spot for a special occasion.... More

This is the second time I have visited. Restaurant features a bar that encircles the chef and sous chefs. The tasting menu changes periodically. Great care is taken in the preparation. Visited with my daughter who is gluten free and Chef Chris Keung made impressive dishes as necessary to accommodate her (with advance notice of course). The dishes were all... More

The restaurant is in a hight tower on Stanley Street (the numbers do not follow each other, so just look up and you will see the tower). It is organised as a "bar" around the kitchen, with the Chef preparing everything in front of you. There is a single menu for the night, but you can signal allergies etc. The... More

I am very surprised that this place hasn't received more buzz yet. 26 by Liberty was relaunched a couple of months ago, and it has gotten SO MUCH better than the previous team. The food is much cleaner now (cheaper too), and a lot more focused on simple ingredients and cooking techniques, rather than weird powders and non functional garnishes.... More

What I really enjoyed about Twenty Six by Liberty was that the overall dining experience was a personal and interactive one. The open show kitchen allowed for customers to watch the chefs in action, which was as much of a spectacle as the food itself. The menu can also be tailored to vegetarians, customers with food allergies and other special... More

My friends and I were traveling from Canada and we stayed 2 weeks in HK. We wanted to eat fine dining and the restaurant was very close to our hotel so we decided to give it a try. The service was a bit slow and somehow we spoke to one of the chefs and he smelt like cigarette smoke which... More

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
