the best meal we had in hong kong. we were drawn here by seeing an article in a travel book and we are so glad we made the trip. it is a busy little restaurant and a bit crammed so if you are looking for an intimate dinner go else where. we asked the waitress to suggest some options and... More

We walked past a cool little spot and noticed loads of people sat outside on beer crates. We met a local friend later in the afternoon who recommended to go and visit Chom Chom so we ear marked it for the next day. After Google mapping it we realised on arrival that the cool little spot from the day before... More

This place can get very crowded. We showed up at 10:30pm and all the tables were taken, so we ate at the bar. Food is very good and the beer selection is ok.

Ordered two cocktails while seated outside, didn't come because totally forgot our order. No apologies and served after 39 minutes by a grumpy waitress.

You can tell they use fresh ingredients and this makes all their dishes top quality - the taste is amazing - we ordered a lot of different small plates and shared! Small restaurant but worth the wait. Tucked away in Soho area - worth finding!

A delightful, buzzing and thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. The food here is some of the best Vietnamese I've had, and though not strictly typical or traditional in many ways, it's zesty menu is a reflection of their vibrancy. The flavours are as bold as the atmosphere, a great place to go with friends or even sit at the bar and... More

This restaurant was close to our apartment in HK so we stopped in our first night. It was hoppin in there and full, but we were able to get 2 spots at the bar. The food was really good, but we felt the prices were a bit steep. I'm sure this is due to the neighborhood it was in. Nice... More

A great restaurant, you can tell that from the queues outside. It's well worth the wait, there isn't a bad dish on the menu. An essential for any HK trip

The food at Chôm Chôm is excellent, But it is hard to get to. If you want to eat there, it is best to get there before 6:15. Happy eating!

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
