Okay, so the staff weren't all that pleasant, but the ice was great! You basically choose your ice, plus what you want in it (banana, toffee, chocolate etc) from the pre-set menu, and then they mix the whole thing up with spatulas on an ice cold tablet before you. I wanted something off the menu, which cost about 2 HK... More

Great alternative to the usual coffee places in HK, especially their gelato bar. Coffee is good, gelato is great, friendly service. Cosy feeling definitely ;)

Holly Brown is famous for its "fried" ice cream. It's basically a mix of ice cream and other ingredients, eg cookies, M&M, sauce etc, on a freezing cold board, ie the "frying pan". It's also a nice place for friends to chic chat, sit down and have a coffee, just chill.

Do yourself a favor and try any of the many Holly Browns located around Hong Kong. I find the one in YoHo mall in Yuen Long to be great! Friendly staff comfy seats and nice atmosphere! If you are a coffee drinker or an ice cream eater this is your place! The Molly Brown Tango is a coffee lovers dream!

They are generally famous for their icecream which they flip over a cold metal board in front of you and mix it with your choice of toppings. The blue colour icecream is allegedly the best flavour. I've tried the chocolate brownie one and its nice as well, especially that the cut brownies add a lot of texture to the icecream.... More

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
