We ate here at lunch time on Sunday, it was not very busy as there was a bit of rain putting people off. The restaurant is on the edge of the water so we got a table overlooking the water and fishing village boats. We ordered a set lunch at a very reasonable price. We got lots of food and... More

We took the Lobster set meal for two. Not inexpensive but good value for money. Seafood coming straight out of the tank so super fresh and tasty and cooked perfectly. Nice view over the fishermen's boat and bay.

The first restaurant we went to put us in a second section and promptly left us unattended. The menu had almost everything without a fixed price. We walked out of there fairly quickly. At the next restaurant (Tai Yuen), we were met by a chatty, fast-moving, young lady who could clearly converse in English, Mandarin n Cantonese. The staff were... More

I've came back after the good experience I had in this place. Everything remains the same in this fishermen's little harbor. The seafood is fresh the food is great and the service is lovely. We enjoyed it all

This is the third time i come here. It is a special occasion after the beautiful walk of abt 1,30 mins fm Yun Shue Wan (you can either take the ferry to this point) or direct to Sok Kwu Wan (pier beside this restaurant). Sitting outside, a nice round table, making a good selection of their fresh seafood, and served... More

I chose this restaurant simply because it seemed to have a cheaper menu than Rainbow's yet this restaurant has rather good reviews. Service folks are friendly and attentive. Food was served rather quickly - so I had a lot of time left waiting for my 4.05pm ferry. Free tea. I chose the HKD698 menu for 3-4. It came with a... More

258 HKD for two including drinks, the set menu is reasonably priced and the food tasty and of a really good quality. The lady boss was very patient with us and explained everything on the menu for us. Can't complain and a nice way to spend an hour before the next ferry.

My partner and I decided to eat at this restaurant because of its good reviews. We were the only people eating for lunch so that can be a good thing sometimes. We ordered the seafood set lunch. Be careful it says the price and you would think this was for two people. It is not. Its for one person each... More

Tai Yuen has really good and affordable sea food. We had one of the menus for two person with scallops, prawns, calamari and rice. They offer a pretty good deal and you get more than enough food

On a recent trip to HK we decided we had to give it a try and were not disappointed. As good as ever, in fact better although the prices have risen alarmingly and the portions have got smaller but otherwise no complaints. I noted that a lot of the restaurants in So Kwu Wan have closed down and counted only... More
