This is a bar with one open wall facing the escalator. The entrance is often crowded with smokers whose noxious reek pervades the whole place, covering your food and your clothes. The beer selection is very limited - only 4 or 5 selections on tap.

Lang Kwai Fong has gotten cheesy unfortunately. But don't despair because up one flight from the LKF pit, just off Wyndham St, is the escalator to SoHo which is filled with great bars/restaurants w/o yobs throwing up in the streets. Up that escalator, up up up, sits The Phoenix, a neighborhood spot filled with upmarket locals/expats, the occasional Canto Pop... More

Very lovely cozy place! Great atmosphere. Feel very homie and friendly! We enjoyed food. Burger plates cost 158hkd I think (for my hubby) and i had ordered salad (because they dont have much choice for people who dont eat meat). Salad cost around 110hkd i think. Also had dessert - all desserts 68 hkd. They have some more signature dishes.... More

Great beer and wine selection with friendly staff and extended 2 for 1 happy hour pricing. Very reasonable price for available meals. Bar has it's regulars and plenty of passers by who are just travelling past.

Heading home on a Sunday night after a lift up the escalator, the pint of gwei lo went down a treat along with the steak, ale, and stout pie. With a 'soggy' bottom it does not get full marks but still one of my easy spots to rehydrate it fuel up! Enjoy!

Friendly bar/ restaurant - a pub like home basically! Little outside area too. The food is magnificent frankly - we had the lamb shank special and it was gorgeous. Good selection of drinks and serves Tanqueray gin which is always a +. Very reasonably priced too. You get to it by going up the escalator street from the IFC.

We visited this bar on our way back to the hotel. We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. The Carlsberg was the best we have tasted in Hong Kong. We looked at the brunch menu and decided to visit the following day, we did visit and were not disappointed. The food was very tasty and the staff were friendly and efficient. Would... More

Not many places like The Phoenix in HK in terms of pubs providing a genuinely relaxed drinking environment, particularly for the after work crowd. Good breakfast.
