This is a well known restaurant in the neighbohood. They serve seafood, but cleanliness and quality/price performance is poor.

We found this restaurant whilst walking through Kowloon and checked the TripAdvisor rating before we entered! We were not disappointed, mostly locals and staff did not speak English that well but menu had English descriptions. We had two seafood dishes and they were delicious! Prices reasonable for Kowloon.

First of all, there are 2 branches, one is listed at the address column (woosung Rd), the another one is at 7F in a shopping mall at the crossroads of Nathan and Austin. We went to the one in the shopping mall, not as big as we imagined. We arrived after 9:30pm, so there is not so many choices left.... More

This is a wonderful seafood restaurant in Kowloon, a branch of the original location with the same owner for about forty years. Our friends in Hong Kong, who are true foodies, took us to this lively spot on Nathan Road for dinner. The fish was as fresh as could be, practically jumped out of their nearby tanks and onto our... We stopped here for dinner on our first night in Kowloon. Close to our hotel, this restaurant was a lot of fun. Wash your dishes with tea to start and enjoy the variety. I really liked the squid and the fish filets. The pigeon was also very good (don't let the heads bother you) The local beer was a great... More

We try this out based on the hotel recommendation as a hot spot for local with great seafood. As a couple we ordered a steamed fish, 2 soy sauce prawns and a snowpeas leaves as a vegies dish with 2 steam rice. Total cost 800HKD. The fish was just cook and a bit underdone closer to the bone. We found... More

We love seafood so we were hoping that the good reviews this restaurant receives were correct. It's a BYOB old school seafood place like the No Name in Boston Mass(USA) was in the 80's. Fish so fresh it is still wriggling on the plate - you chose from live tanks on the sidewalk. Cooked in a flash simply and deliciously.... More

Friends took us here for some local dishes, as the prices were very reasonable we could order a lot of dishes to share between 9 people. We sat on the third floor which is much brighter. Basic local interior but with good food it makes up the difference.

Went here cause we were keen for some seafood. We were the only tourists in the place. Got some egg shrimp and scallops, steamed prawns and some sautéed mushrooms. All very tasty. Very popular place with the locals. Seafood is fresh in the tanks and you can see them pick it out for you.

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
