Had dinner here one evening when staying with friends. Fantastic food. Exceptional service. Worth the 1 Michelin star. Would definitely recommend.

Have been meaning to try this place as have passed by it a couple of times but didn't find an obvious entrance and because of the "Super Monday" promo, thought to purposely give it a try. The prices are on the lower end of fine dining which is good as it is affordable. The food range is better than Tom's... More

we went eating here just upon arrival wishing to have some awesome burger and fish and chips. the onion rings we ordered as a starter were better than we ever had them in france or paris. big, tender but crispy, aromatic, healthy, not greasy, just poetry of a meal. burger was very good and cod and chips was a big... I visited the Pawn (The Kitchen) in March for a tasting menu by Tom Aikens. This is the second dinner I've had that's hosted by Mr. Aikens. It was very different from the first and equally as good. We actually dined in the "The Kitchen" 2/F, and were served from a set menu with a wine pairing. The food was... More

Pawn is rather happening, as it impresses with its chic decor and buzz. We did not dine, just had a round of drinks. Must say the cocktails are interesting botanical concoctions with alluring catchy names. Great place for a night cap.

Surroundings and food lovely. Will go back. Only disappointment was in the bar afterwards and the card machine displayed amount in Chinese not English and a tip had been included, drinks very expensive I wish I had been able to understand amount I was signing for up front. Recommend asking for card transaction approval in English won't stop me going... More

A group of us met up in The Pawn Bar after the first day of the Hong Kong 7s. The bar was buzzing and had a great atmosphere. We hadn't booked, however the staff were really obliging and quickly got us seated. The upstairs restaurant was fully booked but we had much needed and delicious food served in the bar... More

The pork was delicious, as was the beef filet steak. The terrasse in downtown Hong Kong (Wan Chai) is charming, the decoration of the restaurant is artsy. Great experience altogether, I'd definitely recommend it.

The set lunch has very limited choices, only veal or fish burger for main course. The fish burger & fries don't worth the price....

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
