Best Beijing Duck i have ever tasted but let down by service. All items brought at random and duck before appetiser. Ordered soup which didnt come and then thw vegetables came after everything elso had been eaten. Also signature appetiser was a bit strange and not to my taste. Probably a much better experience if you speak mandarin

Visited this restaurant after seeing Australian Chef Neil Perry post a photo of the Beijing duck on his Instagram account, expecting he’d know good duck when he tasted it. I wasn’t wrong. The duck is delicious at 148RMB per whole duck,it is theatrically served and carved at your table. The restaurant itself feels like a dresed up version of a... More

You can't visit Beijing without having the local cuisine. This was highly recommended by our tour guide and it didn't disappoint. The duck was amazing, the service fast and friendly and the atmosphere perfect. I highly recommend coming a bit early. We arrived at 1730 and didn't wait. When we left at 1900 there was an hour wait at least.

This is a wonderful restaurant with an extensive menu. We came for the Roast Peking Duck and were not disappointed. The Duck came out and was carved by the table. It was presented beautifully on the table and was absolutely exquisite. The only draw back to this restaurant is the waiting time. If you arrive early, before 17:00, the wait... More

Rounding out our Peking Duck hunt in Beijing, brought our family to Siji Minfu. The menu is as elaborate as Dadong and the food was on par as well. The difference between the two is Siji loses out on presentation and has a less upscale feel but the bill was noticeably cheaper. Siji felt more like a local find.

This is a really nice restaurant but its very popular with the locals and you need to be prepared to wait for 30-60 minutes for a table. They provide you with free snacks e.g. Crisps and cucumber etc. But there is no bar to get a drink whilst you wait which is a shame.

Siji Minfu is indeed an usual place in the gastronomy scene I know. Dinners are standing in line, asking for a number, praying to be seated in the next hour. Its ok if you have patience(no reservations are accepted). Don't miss this Beijing establishment. Mingling with the locals is something you will for sure enjoy here. The 60 minutes waiting... More

Ok, how could we NOT go to Siji Minfu? Being in Beijing for Easter and og course wanting to have the best Pekind Duck.. We had read all the reviews mentioning long waiting, so we went by the restaurant on Friday at 18:00 and picked up a waitinglist number and where indicated that the wait would be 2 hours!! We... If you want to try traditional roast duck in Beijing, go early to this place as it gets crowded after 5 pm. They do not take reservations unless you have a large party, so if you come after 5, be prepared to wait. Also, while they say that it takes 45 minutes to prepare the duck, in reality it comes... The duck skin just melts in your mouth, nothing else like it. And the price is reasonable, about 200RMB for a whole duck
