Me and my boyfriend were approached at the forbidden city by two young girls who actually at first seemed genuine In their inquiries about us. Soon, the discussion turned to warming up and having tea together. We had previously been warned but played along with the teahouse scam. We were brought into the tea house, this one, Tian Yi. We... Even though the tea cost about $1000USD, our friendly local guides really understood us as people and assured this was special friend only price. Trying the wallet massage service was a highlight.

Fun way of tasting a large variety of interesting teas and shopping for great teapots. Assistants are very helpful but a little over zealous trying to sell teas. Make sure tea is sealed in a plastic bag to get safely back into Australia.

I experienced exactly the same situation of other persons: they charged my visa with an incredible amount simply by moving the comma. I did not check carefully before the signature and I discovered it just when Ii came back home. I have tried in many different ways to get back the money but it seems to be impossible.
