During our family trip to Beijing, we decided to try out Lotus Thai as it was in the mall connected to our hotel. One of the reasons we selected it was that it was open through the day. The restaurant was easy to find and is fairly large. My personal feel was that the hygiene may be a bit suspect.... More

I decided to try this restaurant because I've been craving some South East Asian taste. I chose Pad Krapow Moo (Stir-Fried Ground Pork with Basil) and thouroughly disapponted. This dish is supposed to be spicy and it was just bland. They used too much of pork fat so the dish turned out very greasy. Such a long way from what... More

We arrived before closing one night and were told only takeout was available which was not a problem for us. We ordered the Pad Thai and a spicy chicken salad. Both were fine. Not great and ingredients didn't seem to be of a great quality. Certainly overpriced for what it is by Beijing standards.

Reasonable quality for a shopping center Thai Restaurant in central Beijing. Satay chicken was very good. Red duck curry was ok taste but had more duck than typical Thai food back in California.

It is more expensive than other restaurants but better than the typical chinese attempts. Service was good, food arrived quickly and the meal went smoothly. The food itself was tasty. Perhaps not 100% authentic thai but food outside the country of origin is always different from the real thing.

The steamed fish in lemon juice is tasty. For a restaurant in the basement of an office building the service is quick and the food good (as long as you choose carefully). There is a type of "courtyard" area that is near the escalators and actually it is better than being in the inner area that has low ceilings. The... More

Ok, it is a shopping mall restaurant, atmosphere so-so, and service average. Thai restaurant in Bejing, not authentic thai food but stilm tasty and enjoyable. The paneng curry had tender beef and was the highlight. The green curry chicken was also good. For this low price i can recommend eating here, as a break from the shopping at oriental plaza.

So oily. It is not Thai food is not putting too much oil in half of the dish. All dishes lose Thai taste. There is no Thai chef either. I am Thai who would never try this place again. All the curry soup is like just pouring out from coconut UHT milk in supermarket. They don't know how to cook... More
