Such an interesting way to eat. Plonk yourself around a large, 20 seat table & wait for the food to be delivered. The menu was delightful. Everything tasted of China. Coco, (head of house) was very helpful and spoke English. We would definitely go back...More

Wonderful evening with colleagues and friends. Cooking course to make pumpkin dumplings and then an excellent and very copious meal. Brendan, the host, is helpful, fun and friendly - the cook turns out delicious food which you can watch either closely or afar (via a...More

We were able to get a reservation for three people at the ten-course set meal, which incidentally is a fantastic bargain which includes wine and\or beer. We joined a convivial and diverse group of about ten tourists and expat residents including Americans Mexicans and Filipinos....More

Dining at Black Sesame was like having your own personal chef. Set menu was an adventure in what I would consider a new contemporary style of Beijing food. The host walks guests through each course of tasty fresh food at a communal table seating around...More

This was one of the culinary highlights of our Beijing stay! We made reservations about 6 weeks before our trip for the 10 course communal dinner. Coco was fantastic. She was very quick to reply to my emails during the reservation process. They require a...More
