One of the best Thai fusion restaurants in Beijing, in a few words: our favorite!. Dishes are generous, tasty and very enjoyable. I have been in Thailand several times, and some dishes are not the same, in texture and flavor; that's I can't label it as real Thai but a Fusion cuisine is marvelous, excellent value for the price. Having frequented the area of purple haze for many years, but never had dinner at the Purple Haze, I finally decided to give it a go. The food is of a very good quality, the meat tender, the vegetables fresh and the flavour authentic. My main criticism of the restaurant would be the size of the portions, which are over... More

There's an old adage that it's impossible to have a bad Thai meal - well, there are plenty of places in Beijing that prove that wrong. Purple Haze is not one of them - no great surprises, which is a good thing. Generous servings, adequate service, moderate prices.

Really authentic thai food in Peking. Staff could be a bit more attentive. Good price and good quality. I will come again :)

Tasted like a poor Chinese version of Thai food. If you took the idea of sugar Thai dish but had it prepped in a Chinese way. Fried rice tasted like egg fried rice from any local Chinese place. Morning Glory was alright but bland. Fried tofu was too soft and tasted like Chinese tofu. Papaya salad was good,a little fishy... More

First time in this place to have Thai food and I'm tiny disappointed! I had chicken satai, coconut rice and tom yum soup, everything was only ok! Hope to find better Thai in Beijing

Purple Haze was just a short walk from our hotel and a recommended spot for a massage, so we booked ourselves in for a weekday lunch. Service was excellent - friendly and hand-off - and the food was very good. Some of the usual Thai dishes were present and freshly made (we tried both the red and yellow curries), as... More

Over the years I have been here several times and it has never failed to deliver! Their food has an exceptional depth of rich Thai flavours - no wonder it's been voted Best Thai in Beijing for many years running. The recent renovation/facelift has freshened it up considerably also. In short: excellent food, excellent value!

It is true that this restaurant is not that easy to find, but it's worth looking for. After one visit I started ordering from Purple Haze for delivery, which is very convenient. I enoy the food so much I order at least once a week, sometimes more. I love their fresh spring rolls, and the noodle dishes are fabulous. I... More

Yummy food, good prices, great location, a definite Must for Thai food in Beijing. Staff is nice and well-mannered, the service pretty good. Loads of expats go here...
