Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Chetna is a long-standing vegetarian restaurant. The thali buffet is now KSH 600 but it's still good value for money and generally good quality. I've been coming for many years and it is quite consistent in its quality and service. The sweets are also excellent!

Good first impressions. Very spacious and airy. Bought Jalebi which was fresh, crispy and delicious. Service was very good but could do with being a bit friendlier.

Bhajia’s given as take away had a bad smell and taste was horrible, we had to throw them away! Why serve food which is already spoilt?

The Biggest Setback Was The Attitude Of Some Of The Old Waiters Who Are Biased & Selective In Serving Equally All The Customers For Reasons Best Known To Them. That Was The Only Drawback At Chetna. The Owners Need To Act On This Urgently.

Excellent vegetarian thali served by waiters who took care of patrons like they were family visiting. Service was timely and the food delicious. Unfortunately, we could not visit late after our games which ran to late nights, as the restaurant closes at around 8:30 pm.

This resturant has been fully renovated and the stand of food presented has also gone a notch higher. We went here at lunchtime and ordered the Thali. The hall was air conditioning and thus the best to beat the Mombasa heat. The price of the...Thali is 500/= and they serve unlimited food. Three curries, starter, rice, dal and Roti. The first thing that arrives on the table is a big jug of chilled Masala chass and it just hit the spot. A place to must visit for pure vegetarian and spicy food.More

This restaurant has been in msa for ages but it’s only recently that we made a point to go there. The dinning concept is different from others because they offer all you can eat buffet but the guest are sitting and staff walk around serving.Friendly staff...will immediately come to set the cutlery when you’ve just sat and begin serving you starters main course and dessert they will guide you as to who is serving what and also inform each other what item is required on which table. The menu consists of 3-4 starters for mains there is different types of curries with roti soft and crispy and rice too. Then 2-3 types of desserts. Over all it was a good experience. Great welcoming owners and staff tooMore

The only place to go for breakfast - Indian style - The jalebis and papar ghantia's are to die for. I did a takeaway but they serve people within too.
