Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing food, clean place and very good and friendly services. I loved them. It's a place you want to have something to eat after or before visiting The Fort.

Friendly meal for children and adults as well. The fish was superbly prepared and served in a traditional tray as we sat down ( quite literally) to enjoy under a happy fan that cooled off our rather hot bodies! I would go back any day!

As stated in the title I love this place. The food here is the best I had in Kenya at any price. I have eaten here on four occasions in my two trips to Kenya. The food on all occasions was excellent fresh, well presented,...plentiful and mouth watering flavourful. If you love a curry you will love this place. The service is extremely friendly and attentive. the setting is lovely. It is also very good value for money. A gem in Mombasa. Do not expect fine dining. This is a fairly basic place but clean and a real find.More

Karibu Old Town Restaurant is just next to Fort Jesus, the decor is lovely with lots of history and pictures on the wall, they have a terrace at the back with a breathtaking views of the sea. The food is excellent, local and international cuisine...with a brilliant service, the live cooking at night is so tasty, they have the best Mishkaki and Chicken tikka in town, along with lobsters and fish, definitely worth a visit if you like good food, beautiful scenery and good serviceMore
