a litlte too glittering for my taste, but a refreshing and welcome stop, not too expensive (2 juices and 2 teas for less than 10 E). recommended stop.
With such a location, it could be fantastic. Unfortunately, the staff is apathetic, and the food very poor (especially the stuffed pigeons).

I live in Luxor and took the overnight train to Cairo for a lovley 3 night stay at Menor House. Wonderful experiance had by all. The day spa was fabulous, the views of the pyramids from the rooms are stunning.

Great location and a lot of history in this hotel. Good place to begin adventure. Dining is good at the hotel, clean. The only down side is the price but more than worth it to start the day without traveling through town.
Freshly cooked chicken tagine, a modern take on an apple crumble, good service, and fab views to complement. A dining experience I'd happily have again. Restaurant 139 at Mena House
