Make sure you get the Tamia! It is the best Falafel I have ever eaten and I grew up in the middle east! The rest of the food was quite good as well. The shawarmas are massive. The food is quite cheap and visited by locals and tourists alike. The service at the restaurant is quite good as well!

Grabbed two shawarma sandwiches, one chicken and one beef. Both were good, but the beef was better. Really tender beef seasoned well and served with grilled peppers and a creamy sauce. The bread roll was also very fresh. Next time I'd skip the chicken and go all beef.

Filfila downtown Cairo is one of a few (actually two!) Old restaurants that have survived in the dying downtown area. It makes the trip to the area worthwhile still. It has maintained its coziness, good egyptian food and reasonable prices for years. They even serve the best expresso probably in cairo.Restrooms are clean but no napkins and toilet paper!

Egyptian food. Go only to the downtown location - Hoda Shaarawy Street - all other locations are bust. Not worth the trip

This has been for long one of the most tourist-friendly egyptian restaurant. You can have a better "foul & falafel" experience at a lower price elsewhere however! But great service.

a very famous egyptian traditional restaurant that have branches almost every where in Cairo and in many other governorates in Egypt, it offers great quality of Foul and Falafel meals and sandwiches, while the other food as barbeque and Shawerma can be also good there , but their main especiality is the Falafel and Foul (beans) meals

My last visit in Filfila was disaster. The food was barely average and overpriced. The service was reluctant and the waiters paid attention mainly to larger groups (we were just two persons). I have visited this place 5 or 6 times in last 10 years and I can say that the service is really deteriorating during each my visit.

Thank Meresanch
