Been wanted to try the ginseng chicken for a long time. researched online and found out this is the most popular one. upon entering the restaurant, I realised there are 2 different seating area, and i personally believe one side is for locals, and the other side is from foreigners. tried the ginseng chicken soup and seafood pancake. Both tasted... More

We went there for lunch after a visit to the Gyeongbokgung palace. The restaurant is easily located along a side street and the traditional Korean architecture stands out from the rest of the other buildings. Since it was lunch time, it was crowded but the staff were very efficient in getting you a table without waiting too long. The menu... More

I'm a big guy and I found the communal seating arrangement hard, and uncomfortable. They have both 'table seating' and 'floor seating' options, however, be expected to wait in a long line outside before entering, then taking your shoes off before being seated. Appreciate so far it reads negatively, but I wasn't expecting what was to come.... Ginsing Chicken (I... More

Easy to find the restaurant, just walking distance from the subway station. We took lunch and found the restaurant was very full, we need to queue for a while. The portion is big enough for a family with 1 child as we order the classic samgyetang and 1 roasted chicken. The samgyetang served with tea, ginseng liqueur and all complimentary... More

We had triad the signature one KRW29,000 x 1 for two of us to share. The table next to us - 4 persons ordered 2 of the Samgyetang - heard the female staff has been grumbling to each other in Chinese - saying that just ordered 2 sets for 4 persons' consumption. I think it was very unprofessional to say... More

The food was great. I think the place has the best kimchi I ate in Korea. Service was also very fast. Only thing is that the place is very popular with tourists so there is usually quite a long queue outside. But the queue moves quite fast. I waited for only about 20 minutes to get a seat inside.

We heard about long wait lines, and so we ate a really light breakfast and got there a little before 11. It really is a destination restaurant. There was a crowd filling fast. They have a well oiled system. We were prompted to follow servers in traditional hambouk, and told us to go sit in the rooms in back. Our... More

We had to sit on the floor to eat just like in their local K dramas. Had the white & black ginseng chicken. That's their signature dish. I find it to be a little blend but at least must try once.

The samgyetang is definitely delicious. A must try in Korea The service was kinda rude thou. Imho, they seated their customer based on their assumption on the nationality. While in Korea, most people think that I speak Mandarin while I'm not. They seated me on Chinese section. When the waiters found out that I don't speak Mandarin, she seems inpatient... More
