Came here for lunch during a weekend trip in Seoul and thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a good range in the menu including vegetarian options. Furthermore excellent service in cool surroundings mean Gogung Insadang is a superb place for authentic Korean bibimbap.

I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. Very good traditional Korean food, ample servings, helpful staff. The staff helped us figure out what our nut allergic family member could eat. I am wavering between 4 and 5 stars but the food was excellent and the location was...More

We enjoyed our meal - in comparison to other restaurants in Seoul I would rate this as average/good. The atmosphere and service are average as well- we didn't find anything special about this experience.

We enjoyed our meal and the service was good. The hot stone bowl bibimbap was delicious and I didn't miss the meat I usually have in it. I didn't know the Korean word for it.

Delicious bibimbap in centric street of Seoul, reasonably priced. We were able to communicate with a bit of simple English. The restaurant is in the underground floor of a spiral shopping centre (can't remember the name), shown in my photos. Once you enter the mall,...More

Without a doubt the best bibimbap I had in Seoul. The restaurant itself is a bit hard to find, since it is situated in the cellar of the Ssamziegil Mall. But after a bit of a search, you won't be disappointed. The bibimbap is truly...More

The best bibimbap experience in our Seoul trip so far! The restaurant was located in the basement of a beautiful young-designed building with simple decoration. The food, however, was a bright star! Rice was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The banchan (side dishes) was very delicious!...More

We went to the Gogung at the suggestion of a front desk staff person at our hotel. It was an extremely good suggestion as both my wife and I ordered the vegetarian Bibimbap. We were both very pleased with the soup, hot stone pot vegetable...More

Thursday evening dinner in almost empty restaurant. No one of the staff spoke any English, but menu was also in English. First time having bibimbap, was not impressed. Waiters were not very interested in us. It is the only restaurant in the basement of Ssamji-Gil,...More

shopping. The Ssamziegil shopping complex in
particular has become a local institution for its
unique spiral layout and the many boutique shops

Hi, maybe 60-70 can have lunch at the restaurant, even more, but if they don't have any special room for events, they won't be in the same place, because the restaurant is divided in some areas.

As a solo traveller, would it be unusual for this restaurant to have a solo diner? Would I be able to dine here alone without people staring at me? Also, for the other solo travellers who visited Korea, can you recommend me restaurants where I can easily dine alone.Thank you!
