What a gem! It was one of the most beautiful places in Tbilisi! There were so many beautiful flowers, we couldn’t help but return over and over again to gaze at each masterpiece created by the staff of Gardenia! Our recent visit to Gardenia Shevardnadze was a major letdown. We were eagerly anticipating a delightful dining experience in a beautiful setting, but unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. The restaurant's inability to serve food, combined with their poor communication and unprofessional behavior, left us...thoroughly dissatisfied. When we arrived, we were informed that our food orders would be delayed due to larger orders. We were initially understanding, but after waiting for an hour and a half without any updates or reassurances from the staff, our patience began to wear thin. What frustrated us the most was the blatant disregard for customer service. The staff appeared disinterested and unapologetic about the delay, failing to provide any explanation or alternative options to accommodate us during the extended wait. It became clear that VIP guests, as it happened to be the owner's birthday, were given priority, leaving us feeling undervalued and neglected. To add insult to injury, we eventually left without having any food at all. We were told that the restaurant would further postpone taking food orders for another half an hour or possibly longer. We were simply not willing to wait any longer, especially after the poor customer service we had received up to that point. Fortunately, Tbilisi has no shortage of excellent restaurants. We recommend avoiding Gardenia Shevardnadze unless you want to risk being caught in a VIP event where your food takes a back seat. We strongly discourage choosing this restaurant. Instead, enjoy the lovely garden atmosphere and seek out a different restaurant where you will be treated as a valued guest, rather than just a clueless cash cow.More
Stopped by the beautiful Gardenia Shevardnadze today. It's too early in the season for many colorful blooms but I enjoyed the greenery and the quaint architecture of the buildings. There are a few greenhouses on the property, a couple of goldfish ponds, and little winding...paths to meander along. After strolling, I sat at the cafe for a bite to eat and enjoyed a delicious slice of Tarragon Pie and a glass of Sea Buckthorn juice. I also spotted Zura Shevardnadze, the creator of the garden as he tended the plants. It was a lovely way to spend my time and I highly recommend a visit.More
I visited this beautiful garden on my birthday while I was on a tour in Tbilisi. One of my favorites of all tour and an awesome start of my day. Besides colorful plants and flowers, there are various collections of wonderful items. We were also...accompanied by the owner and creater of the place, and were given very valuable information. Really enjoyed the little cafe, cakes and coffee. Highly recommended to all tourists visiting Tbilisi.More

This was one of the highlights of my Georgia trip. It’s a beautiful garden with pathways, fountains, and a large variety of plants, trees and flowers. Very nice for a leisurely stroll. At the center of the garden is a little outdoor cafe serving freshly...made traditional Georgian food and snacks. It was perfect for a relaxing afternoon surrounded by beauty. It’s only 10 minutes from the Chronicles of Georgia Monument (not to be missed) so very easy to stop in for lunch after visiting the monument.More
Just discovered the real Paradise just 20 minutes away from the city center. As soon as you open the gate of this garden, you are transformed to a fairyland of lovingly arranged flowers, pots, antiquities not to mention beautiful plants and trees. Just love it...and can't wait to go back.More
Absolutely amazing garden, must go if you like plants and highly recommend if you are lookimg for an oasis with a very tasty tea. I was a little bit nervous due to bad reviews about stuff but I hadnt any problem during our visit. Well,...maybe a long waiting for a worker to buy plants but that was all. Taxi will take you there for 15 lari one way, you can go by bus, too.More
I took there my little daughter (I am the mother) for school excursion, we came at 10 morning, but the bus with the rest of children was being late. It was raining hard (very hard)outside and they didn’t let me and my daughter in, I...wanted to wait in the cafe for others to arrive, and have a cup of morning coffee, I was willing to pay cafe entrance fee (2 plus 2 GEL) to wait inside, but they actually threw us out in the rain, very rudely. The personnel is very aggressive from the first word. I had waited for 45 minutes in the rain and cold, from 10:00 till 10:45 when the other came they let us in. There were no other guests inside and plenty of seats. Cafe is open from 10 morning. I told administration staff person that this is not normal to make people stand outside but he aggressively shouted at me that I could stay warm at home. I don’t recommend this place, very shameful.More
Sweetest , loveliest place in the garden full of plants (that you can buy btw). Interior is set in vintage style.
What an incredible place amazing collection of flowers and plants all sorts cute little cafe and greenhouses I can spend hours in this garden staff was also very pleasant and food was lovely I would highly recommend this place it’s a must see!
Went to buy soil for pottting, worst service I have experienced. They charge entrance fee for everything even buying soil. Shame on u MR. Shevardnadze. Regards Katrina
The concept is great,the place is cute indeed.The food is delicious. But I cannot enjoy it as far as the staff is very inpleasant and rude. For example, they asked to pay for taking pictures inside! So I DO NOT recommend this place
Any comment would be more than - just see "nirvana" - wikipedia. Relaxed anjoy local kitchen - poor but "warm" indeed and "adopt" flower for your place.
Used to love this place. Always visited it for a cup of coffee and homemade dessert, recommended to all my friends from all over the world. Yesterday was so much disappointed…….. although I think this is one of the most beautiful places in Tbilisi….. service...is awful… very rude waitress, hardly speaks any language except Georgian. We paid for the entrance to the café, this is very weird, to pay for the sitting in a café…. Then we ordered coffee and deserts, just ask to put a cold water instead of warm in the instant coffee.. and what a surprise…. The price of the instant coffee in the menu was 3,5 GEL and with cold water it became 6 GEL (nothing about this in a menu).. they told, that it is more expensive, they just hadn’t put the price in the menu.. I think it is unacceptable to cheat the tourists….. Greed on the worst sins for the business owners….. paying for the sitting in the café, being cheated etc.…. Will never recommend going thereMore
