We ate lunch here on our last day and it was truly stunning. The food is European (they say French ), the house itself is very well finished and the garden has views of the lake. For Myanmar standards it is very expensive but it was worth it

The ambiance was great. Service was outstanding. It was nice to dine in a formal setting outside. The table was decorated with three lovely floral arrangements. I love gin and tonics and they had my favorite gin, Hendricks. As we were a party of 17 we had an abbreviated menu but still the choses were great. I had the tuna... More

Great restaurant by the lake, wonderful ambience at night although beware of the mosquitoes if you are sitting outside. Excellent place to take someone who needs to be impressed. Great food & the chef even comes out to chit chat.

Ambiance perfect, lovely setting and building with some delightfully quaint features. My main comment is that it is not only very expensive but extremely expensive for the amount of food served, even considering that it is a nouveau cuisine. An example is the soup, served in a very big dish that only had a bowl portion maybe 10cm diameter by... More

Although the food was ok it was extremely expensive for the amount of food you are served. Having spent $48 for a limbs chop a spoonful of potato and a couple of pieces of green vegetables. I left quite hungry. Not value for money. Also had to eat the meal in the dark on the lawned area. When a small... More

Dear Patricia R, Thank you for your review. We are disappointed also to read such comments, as we are quite famous for our generous portion, but also for our efficient service as you have described. We would have been very happy to add additional side dishes or make a gesture by offering you a plate of cheese or anything else... More

My friends and I only managed to have a drink at Le Planteur. But we had the best papaya milk! The lake view was nice and setting was really nice and relaxing! It's a bit out of the way, but def worth going if you want a break from the buzzling city.

We had dinner here on our last night in Myanmar. Excellent setting, food and service. We sat out on the lawn (artificial) near the water. There were ducks and geese on the grass near the lake. As others have said this is an excellent restaurant and it was a great way to spend our last night in Myanmar.

Had the red snapper entrée as the appetiser which was really good to be followed up with the steak that they slice up table side. This beef comes from Japan it is simply delicious! Amazing wine list...90 percent French wine but the list is extensive and the exclusive wines list is beyond what you would expect! Dinner is not cheap,... More

Very romantic location in the garden of a large villa overlooking a lake. Geese and ducks slumber nearby. The (French) wine list is one of the best I have ever encountered in Asia, pricing not crazy. Food is French/Swiss and very good. The service is attentive and knowledgeable. If you want a super evening in a super location for a... More

Description
WE HAVE MOVED TO 80 UNIVERSITY AVENUE. Le Planteur opens a new restaurant on Inya Lake, at 80 University Road. Le Planteur (Inya Lake) upgraded even more to the next standard of finesse in quality, standard and ambience!! And so, Le Planteur (Inya Lake) remains faithful to its concept, in a stunningly attractive venue!! It is an exciting and wonderful evolution and change for Le Planteur - but the things you and I love about Le Planteur have not changed. A new Chef arrived at Le Planteur! The team is proud to welcome Chef Gil Dumoulin who will be in charge of the fine dining restaurant.
