Warm welcome. The food was served quickly and the beef is really really great. As good as in buenos Aires. Just try. We went there walking and it started raining a lot. The boss took us back to our hotel in his own car. Thanks for that.

This is a really nice restaurant in Kinshasa with excellent food. Friendly and professional waitstaff. Good variety of choices on the menu. Highly recommend Chez Philo as a dining option while in Kinshasa. Calm and relaxing ambience.

Location is a bit of the boulevard; and parking smallish but everything else here was top. The service was spotless; quick and attentive. The place had a nice decor and plenty of tables for a quiet meal. We were four adults and had beef (fillet) which was excellent. The biggest surprise (for Kinshasa!) was to pay 114 USD between four... More

A great carte and delicous african, typically congolese food, in a nice decor. The servers are overall quite nice, trying to help... and they are good with largish group, which is not always the case in Africa!

It was great to find a good restaurant that offered a mix of African and European food with attentive service and not as expensive as other good restaurants in Kinshasa.

I've been eating here for years - the food is consistently good and the staff nice, but they recently went beyond. I lost my wallet and called the restaurant, who found it. I got it back with all my cards and quite a bit of cash inside!

The food here was great. Beef well cooked and service good. Not too noisy or pushy. Portions were good. Place for a pleasant meal.

My family and I went to lunch here on my birthday. We had escargots, crocodile and antelope. It's a really great place, especially for visitors and tourists. It isn't as pricy as one would expect. The crocodile was my personal favorite, but the escargots and antelope were also big hits in my group. Great atmosphere, nice staff and very importantly,... More

Philo is a safe choice, calm place, not pretentious with a large selection of classic bistro food including local dishes and game meat (not from endangered species). Ambiance is cool and the service is good.

A couple of the best meals we ate in Kinhasa, and not jaw-dropping expensive like so many others. Great fillet steak, venison, fish. My only complaint is the chilling airconditioning.
