Some service training needed here. We wandered in, wandered around and eventually accosted a waitress. She waved a vague hand and so we sat downstairs (upstairs is much nicer, though it's all the same food (of which, more later). Impersonal (it must be able to take around 200) and totally lacking in atmosphere. The waitress eventually took our orders, though... More

Every time in Guyana we head off here for almost 75% of the trip either for lunch or for dinner. They have a wide selection of drinks and they always have in stock El Dorado 25 year old rum. The food is always tasty and you get a lot for your dollar. The staff friendly and efficient. If you want... More

Soups, starters and main course all delivered, cold, at the same time. Hot sauce dried up in the bottle. Go somewhere else. Really disappointing if you are used to UK, US quality Chinese food.

We were visiting Georgetown after many years and heard many good things about the food here. We eventually got around to getting lunch and have what was supposed to be some of the best food around. It was average. Service was okay, nothing special but could have been better. Prices were not bad but you are paying for the nicer... More

Decent little Chinese restaurant. Lots food per serving. Not fine dining. Wide selection of dishes and the speciality dishes were Good. Staff friendly and helpful. Price reasonable.

Stopped here for late lunch with a group of 6 people. It was not too crowded, and service was good. Atmosphere was a nice change from hustle and bustle of fast food places. We ordered at the table rather than the counter. Food was excellent and fresh, although portions of meat were small. As other guests have commented, it is... More

Not sure why this restaurant is rated close to top of restaurants in Georgetown, as I found the food average and expensive. New Thriving is spread over three floors. The ground floor is a cafe/take-away, first floor a table service and the top floor private dining rooms. My wife and I ate in the first floor restaurant. The menu is... More

Excellent chinese fair a short drive from Pegasus Hotel. Very popular with locals and tourists. Sit upstairs on the open air terrace for the authentic sounds of the street.
