Excellent place. My favourites are ceviche and grilled fish (brotola). Best quality - price relation. Very tasty, fresh and big dishes. Will go every time I can. Charlie the chef is an artist.

The place didn't look too clean, service was poor and the food was not well made (the fettuccine's sauce was pure oil- see photo- , and the fish was burned in one side and raw on the other). My husband and I don't recommend this place.

Superb food. A little pricey (like all Punta del Este), but worth it in this case. Decoration is quaint and "sailory". There is no view, but location is good, very near the port.

We had a late lunch here and it was probably the best meal over two weeks between Argentina and Uruguay: fresh, tasteful and generous portions of ceviche of Brotola and gazpacho! Wine by the glass (Sauvignon) was also very nice.

This restaurant has a great bustling atmosphere and was clearly very popular with locals. They all seemed to be having a mixed seafood dish for starter which we regretted not ordering! The gazpacho soup was a highlight

We have been eating on there today, winter and on week day. Maybe for this reason, just a couple table where busy. We got a specially good service, a very kind and helpful waiter served us. Food was average, yet abundant. Can advise fiends to go

We are frequent visitors to Punta del Este, not only in Summer but also throughout the year, and we are used to the good restaurants and services one can find there . This was not our first time at Lo de Charlie, which used to offer a decent cost benefit food. To our surprise, during the Carnival holiday, we have... More

We heard really good things about this restaurant from Lonely Planet so we decided to have dinner there. The restaurant is not oceanfront - it is about a block away. The restaurant was severely understaffed because our poor waiter was running around maintaining both the outside and inside tables - keep in mind this was high season at Punta Del... More

On the main oceanfront road just north of La Barra, very casual, with a nice outside deck with umbrellas, good views of the ocean. Excellent seafood, especially the local brotola (also called Lochas), a succulent white fish served with wok vegetables. Delicious! Salmon is excellent also, as is garlic shrimp. They also have a variety of sandwiches and salads, some... More
