Fantastic buffet lunch with lots of delicious hot and cold mezzes, three main dishes and a great dessert section. Great concept where women from around Lebanon come as guest chefs and serve up traditional, honest food. I ate too much!

Went for the Saturday LBP 50.000,- buffet and was not disappointed. Variety of different dishes, good spread for vegetarians, too. Ask the chef to prepare you the "egg of the day". Arak and not too sweet rosewater are included. The only slight drawback: The Arabic...More

Description
This is a wonderful little restaurant ideal fro brunch or a wonderfully varied lunch. Souk el Tayeb started as a farmers market in 2004, and now offers a range of delicious regional Lebanese dishes and desserts, as well as preserves, jams and sweets that can be bought in the restaurant. The concept is to offer fresh, organic food, with dishes changing weekly, so that one can savour different dishes from around Lebanon. Brunch is offered on Saturday, and during the week a wonderful lunch buffet is offered at a set price, including main courses, appetizers and salads, as well as desserts. The food is nothing short of delicious and the service impeccable and very friendly. The space is light and laid back, with a mixed crowd of lunching ladies, young professionals and some business men, all seamlessly blending in together. There is also a little outside space with a couple of tables.
