Iraqi haute cuisine has established itself in Amman and it seems that there is no lack of people enjoying the offerings. From specialty vegetable and meat dishes to the well-known masgoof, fish grilled against an open flame, there are lots of choices that even vegetarians can enjoy. A bit expensive and you have to wait an hour for masgoof orders... More

We ordered lots and got to try many fantastic dishes. The spiced, pureed, raw lamb (kabba) was good. The pita was great. The slow cooked lamb over rice was OK. It is a fairly formal and expensive restaurant. Ordering was guesswork as no one was fluent in English but they were super friendly and patient. It's a very large restaurant... More

One of the few places in Amman to specialise in Iraqi cuisine. The specialty they had was the Iraqi style of fish, Masgoof. Very tasty. They have many other dishes to choose from. Can get crowded at night. Good option if you want to try something new.

It is an experience of your lifetime. Middle eastern food which you normally eat at home BECAUSE YOU DONT WANT TO EAT IT IN A LESS THAN 5* restaurants. It is rice stuffed lamb intestines and stomach. It comes with vinegar and garlic. I loved it. Don't eat too much of it on your first try. I ate it twice... More

A short walk from the Crowne Plaza, I ate at this Iraqi restaurant twice during the my stay. The service was exceptional and they never laughed at me, only with me. I thought ordering Grape Hubbly Bubbly was sparkling grape juice. It's a hookah. The waiter got a kick out of it. We ordered large amounts of food to share... More

This is mostly for Iraqis and lovers of sweet water fish. We personally didn't like it and prefer salt water fish. Other than fish, this restaurant also serves Lebanese food and it is very good. We heard they have a new management and a new Lebanese chef. so we expect more improvements.
