The food here was mediocre tourist food. Maybe I got the wrong thing....... I ordered what was called Fish Kebob. In my mind, kebob is something that is grilled on a skewer over a barbecue although it may not be actually served on the skewer. This was more like fish falafel or fish cakes (similar to crab cakes). It was... More

I have been on Trip Advisor for years, and never, ever written a bad review, but there's always a first time. I'm writing this so that visitors to TLV don't get ripped off by a truly awful restaurant. Benny the Fisherman in the Tel Aviv port is the touristy reboot of what once was a really fine old seafood place... More

The place is pretty nice and inviting, same as staff. A very nice surprise comes at the beginning when a reach set of starters is delivered. I tasted everything and it was really good. A got a bit disappointed, when it comes to the main course. My sea bass was dry and even that I ordered a filet, there were... More

we were told to 'come any time'. when we got there there was going to be a wait. we agreed to sit at a small table by the door. that was the first mistake. the food was ok but the small plates were not good quality. the whole fish, mushroom and muscles were pretty good.the ambiance of people pushing etc... Really fun atmosphere in one of the trendiest areas of Tel-Aviv. The salted fish (most expensive item on the menu) was delicious. Similar to other "local" restaurants, the table receives tons of small mezes to start. One aspect I did not appreciate was that we picked out a reasonably priced bottle of wine and the waiter said he strongly suggested... More

Location, location, location: marina views to the left and to the right. Definitely ask for a table outdoors, drink a local beer, ask for the mussels or the ceviche and just enjoy it... Make reservations to avoid the wait.

We managed to squeeze a table in at Bennys at the last minute, and there were serious queues outside. Comfortably sat inside we were handed a main fish based menu as the restaurant title would suggest We ordered the fish of the day (sea bass) that came with enormous starter with an amazing range of tastes, then the fish was... Our business hosts took us out for dinner to this restaurant. The wait was short, but the restaurant was full, whilst those around it where not. Starters assortment of dishes is excellent. Our hosts ordered a full selection, and many of the dishes where outstanding. Deep fried cauliflower heads stood out for me. Had the grilled seabass as main and... More

We had booked a table here for 8pm and, on arrival, checked in with the hostess on the front desk, to be acknowledged brusquely and told to wait. There were many other people waiting: clearly they have a policy of overbooking the restaurant. After 10-15 minutes, we were told that our table was almost free, but they then tried to... More

I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. This place has excellent service, an amazing atmosphere, and even better food. The owner overheard us ordering fish for the table, but insisted we change our order and try the fish he loves the most and ensured us if we didn't like it that it would be on the house. The food was... More
