Great bakery! The pastries were absolutely delicious and always fresh. I found the prices to be a bit high, but I would definitely recommend.

The guy at the counter was so arrogant and condescending and made us consider not eating the (delicious) cakes..
The pastries are the best and freshly made. Everything is 100% kosher so no need to worry. Breakfast was a complete joy with their fresh pastries.

Either Rachel Imeini or Shuk Mahane Yehuda, Marzipan is the go to plsce. The many flavored roughlach melt in your mouth. The raisin challa rolls from Rachel Imenu are a Shabbat must have!
As a tour guide, I travel around the Machane Yehuda Outdoor Market often. Many of my guests have either been to or heard of Marzipan Bakery. They always enjoy shopping for their fresh baked sweets. What a treat.
Apart from making fresh every day so many different types of bread, Marzipan bakes the best chocolate rougelach ever! Yeast dough rolled and filled with huge amounts of chocolate. They also have a huge selection of cakes and cookies - everything they sell is divine!
Marzipan is first and foremost a nakery. Their Rugalach (mini danish) are to die for. All their other products including their light lunches and dairy dinners are delectable too.
Anyone who lives in or visits Jerusalem will tell you to go to Marzipan. you can smell it down the road, the bread, cakes, pastries, all amazing.
