I read some average reviews of the place, so I came there without any high expectation. What I found was an amazingly nice service, which is pretty rare in Jerusalem. This helped to us to feel very comfortable in the restaurant. The atmosphere is really cozy and original with nice music that still allows to nicely talk to your neighbour.... More

After gorging ourselves on falafel and hummus for a week we wanted a change so found Shanty on TA, so glad we did. Fantastic food, service and cocktails! We enjoyed our first night there so much we took my inlaws the next night and it didn't disappoint. The chicken wings and stuffed vine leaves are particularly good and the Shanty... More

I admit I'm a local! That means I'm broke, and I know where to eat and drink. I ate, and drank with the owner/chef Alon, 28 years ago! He looks great at around 50, running the kitchen(open views of food prep) Now remember folks, I'm a value for money, kind of guy. That means I always order the balsamic steak,with... More

This really is a hidden gem and we ate here twice during our 7 night stay in Jerusalem. It is a little hard to find in a lane behind and parallel to Ma'Alot Nakhalat Shiv'a St. The Pad Thai is cooked to the spiciness of your taste and is a very generous portion. The mussels in raki were awesome! Open... More

It has updated itself, but kept the main dishes there. it is a big place with the feeling of a small cozy family home. שאנטי תמיד היתה בתמונה של חיינו. מאד אוהבים את המקום, וממליצים בחום. מקום ביתי, מחבק. אוכל מצוין. מקום... The setting are like a place where the founding fathers and mothers of Israel could have been meeting. The place is full of atmosphere. The food and service is among the best i have had, it is modern tasteful and made whith a lot of care.. So thank you very much for two wonderful meals.

Can't miss the muscles special and the spicy wings. Well known establishment that goes way back. The chef is the owner himself and responsible for making all the delicious dishes.
