We had a wonderful time and the food was delicious! Atalya is a unique and amazing chef! The atmosphere is very special and great view from the rooftop
Thank you! I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Can't wait to have you as my guest again Atalya
The experience at Atalya was truly magical. At every turn you felt authenticity, whether it was from the local ingredients that made for amazing dishes, or in delightful conversation that Atalya and Roi engage and the stories about their food, families, and village. It's truly...a trip through tastes, sweeping vistas, family histories, and everything in between. A most unique experience.More

Our family of 20 celebrated at Atalya's today. We came for Brunch and everything was superb - The place, the food (everything was delicious!). She prepared few Gluten-free dishes especially for our son (who has Celiac disease). Atalya puts so much effort in all the...details but with such ease that it seems almost effortless. Her informality also made us feel welcome and at home. The atmosphere was intimate, exactly as we fantasized this Bday celebration to be (and more)!More

After a few days of consuming a diet of largely hummus and kabobs our family was looking for something a little different. We found just what we were looking for, fresh made food and a family friendly atmosphere. We felt like welcomed guests and the...food was fantastic from the start. I wished we could take the starter bread home with us and the entire meal was delicious.More
Hello, So glad to hear that you had a good time in my place (even though kabab and humus are not bad at all) You are more than welcome any time you are in Israel Best regards Atalya
Our family of 14, ranging in ages from 8-80 celebrated a pre New Year's Eve dinner at Atalya. It was the most enjoyable and delicious evening! Atalya has a beautiful home, filled with lovely art, in a beautiful setting. We started the evening with a...walk up to her rooftop where we saw beautiful views of Jerusalem. There was a platter of a version of "sufganiyot," in honor of Chanukah. It was a mini pita with fig jam, from her garden, and a slice of cheese, delicious with layered flavors. Our dinner began with a babka workshop. Everyone, including the children, was so engaged! She made it a fun activity that all participated in. While the babka was baking we enjoyed a delicious dinner that she prepared. There was a focaccia which we devoured. Many salads were served, all with fresh ingredients and seasoned to perfection. The main course was a chicken which was slow cooked, a meat dish and rice. Everything was delectable. There were lots of unusual flavors. She told us all of the spices that she used as she served the courses. The children, not so adventurous, ate pasta which they enjoyed. Atalya is a lovely gracious hostess and we enjoyed her company as well as that of her servers. We had communicated in advance about all of the allergies and she was able to prepare a wonderful dinner, keeping to the guidelines we set. Our family had memorable excellent meals in Israel and the dinner at Atalya's was definitely a highlight! When we returned home I was thinking of preparing the chicken dish so I contacted Atalya. Within 2 days she responded with a detailed recipe. If you are looking for a family cooking adventure with a chef, Atalya is the best choice ever.More

Dear Cari Your amazing words means a lot to me. I'm so happy you chose to celebrate here in my place. Thanks a lot for your review and looking forward to have you as my guests again
Atalya is an incredible chef and a wonderful host. The breads were as good as we had anywhere in Israel (and they were great all over!). Each small starter was better than the last. The entrees were both delicious (extraordinary chicken tagine). Even the dessert...was to die for. Even the small selection of Israeli wines was a home run. I can't recommend this Atalya highly enough--ten stars!!More
Thank you so much! I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed all the parts of the meal you had here. Hope to see you again soon :)

I'm so glad to read your words, it fills up my heart. Thank you! I had such a fun day with you guys. Regards, Atalya
Atalya is a unique and very busy person, despite her young age. Every Friday morning she serves brunch to a handful of people in the beautiful stone house she was born in. The view is breathtaking, the atmosphere is homey, and the food is amazing,...all made from local fresh ingredients. But the best part is the host herself: vibrant, energetic, full of stories about the village and the food, running between the kitchen and the dining room. We had a great time ! She's booked months in advance but it's well worth the wait ... Don't miss it!More
Thrilled to read how much you enjoyed the local flavors and the variety of dishes! Thank you for your warm words.
This was my second time dining with Atalya. As an American resident in Jerusalem, I regularly host visiting family and friends on tours of the Holy Land. I reserve Atalya only for those who will most appreciate the lavish, meticulously-prepared, locally-sourced meals! It is highlight...of any trip. Let Atalya take you on a culinary journey. She is a warm, generous hostess who cooks with incredible passion. She would be a perfect fit on "Chef's Table." Make reservations well in advance for her private dinners and prepare yourself for a very memorable evening!More
Dear Jenny, I'm so glad to read your incredible words, it fills up my heart. Thank you! I enjoyed hosting you and your friends and I wish to see you soon. Regards to the family, Atalya
What a wonderful experience we had a Atalya’s home. She is an amazing chef and the passion for what she does is in every bite of her delicious creations. The brunch was out of this world; so many different local dishes, and every single one...of them was memorable. It really is something you must experience when in Jerusalem. Make sure to make reservations well in advance not to miss it!!More
Thank you for your kind words. Delighted that you enjoyed the whole experience. It will be a pleasure to host you again in the future!
What an AMAZING and UNFORGETTABLE experience we had with Atalya in Ein Kerem! We started with a wonderful hands on baking lesson in Atalya's home and then continued on to local homes within the village. At each home we felt welcomed and honored, treated as...family. A cooking experience in one home, followed by dancing. In another home, fresh delicious goat cheese made on premises from their herd of goats. This was all before returning to Atalya's home for an absolutely INCREDIBLE lunch! Delicious food sourced right from Atalya's yard and garden. Wonderful hospitality and a great dining experience. All this and we got to leave with several bags of fresh baked goods we made with Atalya Thank you Atalya and friends for one of the highlights of our trip!More

Atalya is a world-class hostess and chef. She greets you in her family's historic home in Ein Kerem and takes you on a food and wine journey showcasing the finest ingredients she's found in the local markets, her garden, and the Judean Hills surrounding Ein...Karem. She is passionate about the culinary heritage of this region and has published an award winning cookbook (in Hebrew only so far) featuring its bounty. The food is delicious and unique. You can feel the love and thought poured into every dish. There's a spectacular view of the valley and mountains from the rooftop. We cannot wait to return or join her on one of her tours through Jerusalem!More
