We held our wedding party at Modern. The place was wonderful, everything started on time, and the food was delicious. Shani was amazing, professional and really listened to our needs for the event! Perfect fit for us!!

After recommending a date for a birthday event for 7 people by their own employee, I want to emphasize - the employee suggested the date, 2 hours before the assigned reservation, someone called to say the employee made a mistake and that they are not...open at the assigned hour! 2 hours before. No accountability, no responsibility, just sorry, she made a mistake we are closing now, bye. I would be very wary of an establishment that behaves this way. For us the birthday celebration is ruined.More

This restaurant is a classic tourist trap. The food is extremely expensive and not worth it's price. The tapas plate for 2 was not good at all and definitely not worth its price. The main courses were dry and cold. To sum up i do...not recommend to eat there. This is my personal experiences.More

We celebrated our daughter's birth a month ago at Modern restaurant at their beautiful location at the Israeli Museum. We enjoyed a wonderful Friday morning with family and friends, a great atmosphere, and good service.

We booked this restaurant because we thought it had a high review from Tripadvisor. However we found the service terrible. We ordered entree for all 6 to share which was removed before we finished so they could serve the mains. However the mains didn’t come...all together. 3 of us had to wait 20 minutes before the main came. Not impressed with the dishes. Ordered a pasta dish but there was no sauce with it. We got married last month in the Modern venue. The staff were kind, the food was delicious and the place itself was pleasant and inviting. Ideal for a small wedding. And most importantly, all had a great time, us and the guests.

עשינו את החתונה שלנו במודרן. הצוות היה מעולים, בעיקר שני ואמנון עזרו לנו בכל דבר ושאלה. והכי חשוב האוכל היה מקסים ואנשים עדיין מדברים על זה! תודה למודרן והצוות המהמם! We had our wedding at Modern and it was fantastic! The whole staff was excellent...and in particular Amnon and Shani were so helpful and took good care of us. we like this restaurant very much - it has been one of our regulars but the menu has changed recently and today the lunchtime food on offer was very limited and disappointing. For the main course not much on offer other than hamburgers or schnitzel...- not what I go to a restaurant for. I ended up by having just an appetizer which was tasty and large enough for me as a main course - okay but not nearly as good as the previous options. The service is amazingly good and a pleasant ambiance but not enough choice for sure. The Tuesday evening menu has also changed to a strangely working tasting menu which one can choose a few items of at a high price for a small portion or the whole tasting menu which must be taken by all the diners at the table. NOT USER FRIENDLY . This is all a pity because the changes have put us off frequenting what was a very good place to eatMore

We checked the business lunch menu website the morning of our reservation day and we were happy with our choices for lunch. SURPRISE!! They had a different menu with nothing we liked. There were four of us. As it turns out the appetizers were good....We had Sashimi salad, beet salad and grilled veges. The main dishes were not good. I had fish kebab, one had schnitzel, one had papardelle and my wife had the filet beef. the filet beef was awful and was sent back. The fish kebab was tasteless. Then we had a so called chocolate souffle for dessert which was also not so good. the service was slow considering the fact that there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. The atmosphere was nice and there was no loud music to keep us from our conversation. They took the beef off the bill and offered free coffee to make up for the bad dish. We will not return again.More
