I highly recommend Musafir. Although it's located in a touristy area I don't often frequent, it is right next to Taksim Square are also the Havatas stop. And the food is fantastic. I can never resist a mango lassi, and it's always hard to make a decision on what to order because it's all good. The staff are friendly and... More

It was my second time in this restaurant with my Indian guest. Both experiences were amazing. My guest was so happy to find the real Indian taste here in Istanbul. Butter chicken is a must here. We were happy with everything we tried. Employees are also professional and kind. . Yes, the price is a little bit high but it... More

Not the greatest food and no heating extreamly cold, all tables are upstairs and only wine available is Turkish, the service was great and if you take the wine off the bill cost is reasonable ,but I've eaten in Indian restaraunt many times and this does not seam authentic Indian food

If you are an indian food lover then this is the place to go. Taste was good but service was very disappointing. Not very cheap. Hard to find. Had to ask many shop keepers and vendors for this restaurant. I visited this place few years ago as well. The owner greeted us warmly. Came to our table and asked if... More

This restaurant Musafir is located very close to the Taksim Square & Istiklal Caddesi(The Shopping Street). The vegetarian food here is very close to what you can get back in India for a reasonable price. The Tawa Pulao was just awesome & the Indian Bread(Roti, Nan) along the prepared nicely. Overall the service & quality of food was good.

Prices are in line with other eateries but the food was absolutely outstanding. I would recommend Tarkha Daal and Chicken Karahi...spot on desi food speak to chef Raja to spice it up a little...being Asian i know what is decent food and would recommend this to the desi food hunters. ....enjoy

Thank Tom T

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
